It was Sylvia's wish that she spend her final days at our beloved NH family cabin. Her wish was granted thanks to her children, Bayada Hospice and the staff at Sunapee Cove Assisted Living. In spite of COVID, she was able to be with all four of her children, many of their children and numerous other family members and friends in view of our Lake. It was almost magical ... we hope just as she imagined.

Sylvia Myers Willoughby, 93, passed away peacefully with her children at her side on Monday, July 14 at her lakeside cottage in Contoocook, NH.

A native New Englander, Sylvia was born in Bennington, VT, to Col. Charles Hayward and Gladys Clough Hayward on June 28, 1927. As the daughter of a military professional, Sylvia grew up in many parts of the country as well as Japan, where her father was posted after the war. As …
