Susan's obituary
Susan M Regnault, beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend, entered her eternal rest on January 20th, 2026. She was in her home surrounded by everyone she loved most in this world. She was 61 years old.
Born on August 11th, 1964, she lived a purposeful life shaped by her compassion, intelligence, quiet selflessness, and pride for her family. She was a woman of many jobs during her lifetime ranging from the music industry to hospitality, and even an accounting firm. However, "Mom" was cited as her favorite. It was a title she carried with her whole heart.
In her spare time, Susan found happiness in life's simple pleasures: often found doing crafts, baking for those she loved, caring for her beloved pets, and treasure-hunting the aisles of HomeGoods for the next addition to her ever-growing Peanuts collection. She delighted in small rituals like enjoying a vanilla latte in the morning sun or going for an afternoon walk to appreciate the nature around her. She had a special way of turning everyday moments into comforting memories.
Most of Susan's life was spent with her husband George. They met when they were 18 years old. From that point on, they had a partnership that withstood the test of time. They married in 1990 at The Old Westbury Gardens in New York. In 1992, they moved to Las Vegas, NV where they built the foundation for the rest of their lives together. Susan's passion for learning new things allowed her to immerse herself into the fabrics of Las Vegas, though her New York roots always remained a cherished part of her truest self. Together, she and George shared a devotion to their family, a passion for traveling, and a love for hosting others. One of their favorite hobbies was cooking together. They could always be found whipping up something great in the kitchen. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in 2025, a milestone and testament to the enduring bond they shared.
Her greatest source of pride and joy came from being a mother. She poured her entire heart and soul into her daughters, Brienne (28) and Veronica (26). Whatever her kids were pursuing, dreaming, or achieving, she was always there to embrace the moment and cheer them on -- encouraging, joyful, and proud to be their ultimate number one fan. Her children always knew how deeply loved and valued they were by their mom. She was the heartbeat of the home, their North Star, and the consistent safe place they could always turn to.
Susan's faith was steadfast and true; it carried her through her illness. One of the most powerful expressions of her spirit was her willingness to trust in God's plan. When met with the news of her diagnosis, she responded simply, "I know God has a plan for me." This unwavering faith is what gave her the fortitude to face nearly two years of difficult decisions, procedures, and treatments that came her way. Her strength was not something she created, but was found within from the presence of God in her heart.
Susan will be remembered for her abundant kindness, creativity, and cheerful energy. She loved deeply, cared boldly, and embraced challenges with openness and enthusiasm. Words fall short of capturing the light that she cast upon our lives. Her smile will permeate our memories as she now runs free in Heaven; free from illness and the burdens of this earthly life. She will be remembered for her fierce love of her family, her loyalty to her friendships, and her ability to make people feel seen. Her legacy will live on through those that were graciously touched by her presence, the ones that will continue to breathe her name long after she is gone.
She is survived by her husband, George, and two daughters, Brienne (husband Michael) and Veronica. She is also remembered by a community of extended family, friends and colleagues, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
She is loved endlessly.
