- Family and friends mourn the passing of Susan Gertrude Krix, age 98, formerly of Blissfield Michigan on Dec 1, 2021. Known lovingly as "Nanny," she was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Born Susan Bartelme in Chicago on November 30, 1923, she was the daughter of immigrant parents Johannes and Gertrude Bartelme from Hungary.
When she was just 5 years old, her family moved back to Hungary to escape the hardship of the Great Depression. …
