One of the things I remember most about Sue was that she was a system scientist. Her way of looking at the world, “problems“ and solutions weren’t something I was used to. For example, any solution requires a three prong approach. Look at issues in the context of time space. I’ve grown to appreciate that. There’s a need for discussion that requires listening, equal time and equal voice and solving issues even big issues and a community/local level.

I was just thinking about Sue this afternoon. Her memory blesses.

Remembering Sue on her 84th birthday.  Well, I continue to remember Sue during the year and mention her at our RoundTable event monthly. Sue's values are embodied in the RT principles: everyone has an equal voice, focus on the positive, respect for other's view points, listening more than talking. I am reminded of a time when I interviewed her for a performance improvement leadership survey for ISPI. I asked her about one of the best leaders she had had and she mentioned a boss who was known for his kindness; that he was never unkind, even when someone was not kind to him. He would say, "I don't appreciate that. Could you tell me in a way that's kinder? "It made an impression on me. I loved her enthusiasm for learning. I loved that she referred to things she loved and thought were wonderful as "YUMMY". Her memory still blesses. Happy Belated Birthday, Sue.
This weekend, in Birmingham, UK, the 69th annual meeting of the International Society for the Systems Sciences takes place. Susan was a regular attendee at ISSS conferences, organising her breakfast meetings. She will be much missed.

Just to let you know I will always remember the breakfasts, lunches and movies we went to and the heart to heart talks we had. And also her wonderful book to help the corporate and teaching worlds communicate better. I truly admired  her intelligence and insights. I truly miss her and am  grateful for the times we had together,

My condolences to Susan's family. I first met Susan about 8 years ago. We were both in a support group and enjoyed each others company. We found we enjoyed the movies and going for lunch or dinner after.I really miss our talks and catching up on each others lives. I truly miss her and know the family does too. I’m grateful I had a friend name Sue❤️.

Sue was my instructor for Systems Leadership and was my mentor at ISPI SoCal while hosting the RoundTable events she brilliantly created. Sue would often coach me around ways to deal with people and during an interview I conducted with her, I asked her who her role models were. She mentioned a boss she had who was exceptionally kind and who spoke in a way that was genuine and understanding. She loved his kindness. I think that is a value Sue lived. I frequently think of Sue and her values. She had a passion for learning and definitely wanted to introduce Systems Thinking to others. She wanted to transform existing social systems in a way that was kind, non-violent, and supportive. Love and Light.

Sylvie, Anthony, and Maxim,

My heart is with you as you adjust to another loss. I celebrate the woman Susan was -- and who her spirit still is --  and remember her enthusiasm, fidelity, and big smile fondly. I wish you spacious and embracing love.

I will miss my sister Sue. I have many fond memories of her over many years. Some of the qualities that she has that I admire are; her dedication to education and her many years of service as a teacher, author and leader. Her sense of style. She was a unique person with a definate flair for style. She was a great Mom to Sylvie and Tony. Her fun side; She called her nephews Steve and Jim and me "Froggies" when we were younger. Her sense of adventure and willingness to do interesting things, like moving to France.  I hope are meeting loved ones and meeting interesting people on the other side Sue. Love, Cindy

A scholar who accomplished so much in life, and who has sacrificed so much raising her two wonderful children, Tony and Sylvie.

May she rest in peace!

Our sincere condolences on Sue's passing. We will always cherish our time working with her on design projects - where her intellectual rigor and wit seemed just a natural in this setting as in her chosen discipline of higher level education. She was a great lady, and surely missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. - Blanchard Family
I was sad when I heard the news of Susan's passing. I met Susan through INCOSE (the International Council on Systems Engineering) and always admired her disposition to help others, her knowledge, and kindness. I enjoyed attending many of her "Round Table" workshops, she was keen on giving everyone a chance to speak and express their opinions/ideas on all types of topics.  RIP Susan.
