Some of us reunited for Brunch  today to honour Susan and share memories of our dear friend ; and talk about the impact she had on all of us with her  “ Susanisms”. There are so many phrases and expressions unique to  her . We miss her and send love and hugs to Tim, Jake and Margeaux and the girls , and to Lauren and Jonah and Susan’s  siblings. Susan was quite a force of nature and will forever hold a place in our hearts ♥️!

We met Susan and her family at Riverside.

She was a warm caring giving person, who loved to have fun. I remember her putting Lauren in the playpen, while we had our team tennis lessons& our coach would keep an eye on her! She also showed us how she could roll her stomach like a belly dancer!

Susan, was the first one to say yes to a trip. We had many girls weekends with lots of stories. As the saying goes, what happen on the girls weekend stayed with the girls.

Susan had a beautiful smile and gorgeous eyes. And great looking hair. And a very nice figure. But, more importantly, she was so sweet, positive, darn cute, funny, witty and very alert to unusualness at our workplace.

I truly liked Susan, and enjoyed talking to her, and listening to her speak.

She was a true professional at Pike Nurseries as well. She was an excellent cashier, and so helpful and friendly to our customers.

I will miss Susan. And for the Ellington family, and Susan’s friends, I am truly sorry for your loss. However, I know, as a born-again, saved Christian myself, that Susan is now in the best place of all - spending eternity in Heaven with The Blessed Trinity - Our Heavenly Father; His Son The Lord Jesus Christ; and The Holy Spirit. One day I will see Susan again, for all of eternity. That is a very hopeful and actually pleasant thought for me to ponder upon.

Thank you for your time and attention to this post at this time.

To: Susan family, I am so sorry for your loss . Susan was a childhood friend we both lived on Maple Street in Albany, Georgia. I am so sorry she was so sick my prayers go out to her family and to all who new her and loved her I will forever remember my friend Susan. God be with her family at this time and Comfort each one in their loss.
Tim, Lauren, and Jake,
I was so saddened to hear the news of beautiful Susan's passing. Susan was one of the very 1st moms I met at HIES when the girls were in 7th grade. A "meant to be" 1st meeting; we were both from Albany; same age different HS but knew many same people. I loved being around Susan's bright bright sunny energy and nature! I can't even imagine the void you are feeling in your family and know there are no adequate words to express but I am sending prayers up for all of you. Much love, Vickie Couch

Susan and friends at the US Open. Lots of fun tennis memories.
Susan is gone too soon. I met her in 2013 at Pike Nursery. We worked together through the “seasons” for 5 years.
Susan was very pleasant to those around her and the customers. I enjoyed the stories about her family and Tim bringing her lunch.
My thoughts and prayers with Susan’s family.

Letter to Susan E,
My dear friend,
I can’t believe this is happening…I’m not ready to lose you.
What fun we have had. You were my first real friend in the Riverside Hood. I had your number memorized first, and thank goodness because when Chris locked us out of my running car in the Petsmart parking lot yours was the number I knew and you came instantly to my rescue.
I was amazed at how you kept such a cute figure, you always had a candy bar in one hand and a coke in the other. I love the story of the woman at the club who tried to complain that “some of the moms” were wearing sexy bikinis. You just laughed.
You are truly an irreplaceable friend, the witty one who makes everyone laugh, so much energy and so much fun, I always want to sit by you.
I love that you are so devoted to your family. You take care of everyone, I’ve never met anyone so openly in love with her nieces and nephews, and recently your precious grand baby girls. And don’t mess with anyone you love….the she cat will come out!!
When I think of your face there is not just a smile but a laugh on it, you always laugh so easily.
I love so many things about you, that you are always willing to host a gathering, even at the last minute, that you always say yes to any social invitation and always travelled with me even at short notice. Our Colorado trips with friends and with you, me, and Lauren are some of the most treasured memories of my life.
And I will never see April 4th on the calendar and not think of our women’s tennis tournament trips to Charleston for your birthday.
Susan, you are so tough. There are so many things you suffered through that no one would have guessed because you refused to let anything bring you down.
I will miss you more than words can say. Where you are going there is no suffering, only joy and peace, and I believe that with my whole being, so as I am sad for myself that I will not see you for a while, I am happy that you will be going to a place where you have a new healthy body with no pain, no suffering , and no sadness. I have been so blessed to have you in my life.
I love you, MEAN IT
God lift up the Ellington family, comfort them, let them feel your presence and your love
