Susan's obituary
It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that I announce the passing of my beautiful and devoted wife of almost forty years, Susan Woodbridge Ellington.
Susan passed away in our home in the early morning of Saturday, June 12th. I thank God that our daughter, Lauren, was with her as she took her last breath.
Susan was a marvelous wife and a magnificent mother deeply loved by Lauren, Jake, and Jake’s lovely wife Margeaux. Though perhaps her greatest joy was the blessing of her granddaughters, Eleanor James (4) and Maeve Woodbridge (2), to whom she was known affectionately as “Nina.”
We are blessed to have Susan’s wonderful siblings, Robert “Bobby” Woodbridge, Luana “Wannie” Beach, and Janelle Calvert—along with their families—join us in mourning the loss of their beloved youngest sister. Susan is predeceased by her mother, Palma Centofanti Woodbridge.
During this difficult time, I want to sincerely thank our loving family and our incredible friends from every stage of our lives for your sympathy, your love, and your unmatched support in every way possible. Susan is blessed with the adoration and devotion of truly fantastic and remarkable friends.
On behalf of our family, I welcome you to share your photos and thoughts of Susan as a part of this memorial. Susan lived a life full of love, and Heaven is now a better place because she is there.
We will always remember her laughter, her strength, and her love.
