Eccentric, lovable and Jovial, yes all this and much more.. above all he was a man with a kind heart. Despite his high intellect he met even an ordinary mortal with the same enthusiasm and interest and respect. His wit and sense of humour was remarkable. Even when he was struggling with constant pain he never missed an opportunity to make us laugh.  Sometimes his pain became the centre point of his wit and wisdom. Just as your life, even your death has taught us lessons, lessons of dignity grit and determination.

We, the HVS gang is going to miss you very badly. Thank you dear friend for the memories you have given us.

After a long struggle you have finally attained peace, where no pain can penetrate. Rest in peace Kumar.

We are really shocked to know the fact that my beloved cousin,  Kumar is no more.

He was a great person with a helping hand, kind heart and human values.

We are really unfortunate to lose such a great personality who was so much concerned with our family.

May God give the bereaved family strength to bear with this great loss.

Surya was an exemplary person and leader. He was bestowed with immense knowledge, intelligence and curiosity. I was once in a very high pressure situation in one of the projects where I reported to him. He called me into his office and instilled confidence in me and made me comfortable by singing few lines of renowned Telugu lyricist Shri Veturi Sundara Ramamurthy Garu’s songs and explained the delicate poetry and lyrics in those songs. He gave a recommendation for me to University of Illinois where I am currently studying MS. He visited us with his family last year when he came to US for his son Aditya’s wedding. His interests were varied and he was an ocean of love and knowledge. Surya will be in our hearts for ever. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanthi.
Short time, but left with lot of memories of his presence as a most knowledgeable being, may his soul attain the ultimate divine.
Father. Friend. Mentor. Alway…

Father. Friend. Mentor. Always encouraged me to have a big vision for myself and never think small.
While I am still trying to process this, there are only few of them who would come forward to help each other and guide them in a right path, uncle was one of them.  Everyone of uncle’s relatives, friends, acquaintances I came across always had great things to talk about him, each and everyone mentioned that uncle helped them at some stage in their life. What more can we say but to feel proud of knowing a man like that. From the time he explained me Mathematics on the phone to dancing with joy at my best friend’s (Manasa) wedding, I will cherish all the times. I would deeply wish for your peace uncle. Thank you for everything .

"I was very sad to hear about your father's passing. He was an incredibly thoughtful soul who dedicated his talents and skill for making the world a better place. I will remember him fondly, and I will miss him every day. May he rest in peace."

-Vikram Akula

Uncle was like a mentor, fellow-foodie for me! So cool, so wise, so funny, so encouraging and so supportive. I can never forget the times he sat us down to share his wisdom or even simple cooking tips, that I will always remember. :’)

Uncle, I’ll always cherish the time we laughed together and we ate together!♥️
