Steve would often house and dog sit for us when we went on vacation.  Steve always made sure the house was clean when we got home.  We have a Dyson vacuum and while cleaning it slipped out of his hands and the trigger broke just a little piece off.  Still worked just like new but he felt terrible about it.  Now every time I vacuum and feel that little jagged edge on the trigger I think of him and it makes me smile.

Stevie, you were my constant companion, my advisor, my bail bondsman, my sounding board, my Wheel of Fortune and Wordle partner, my camping buddy, and my fellow winery/ wine enthusiast.  You were "My Stevie Dearest" and my very best friend!  And now you are gone.  I will sorely miss you and will love you forever.

My condolences to Steve's family. I first met Steve when at Bed Bath and Beyond.  I was the assistant store manager and he was one of the supervisors I worked with.  We became friends immediately.  How could you not if you ever met him. He quickly became a friend to my entire family.  We called him Uncle Steve.  Soon he was house sitting and dog sitting for us when we went on vacations.  He loved our home and decor. Especially when decorated for Christmas. We are so sad he is not visiting with us this Christmas.  We have 6 trees decorated this year. Steve's favorite was our food tree in the dinning room.  He looked at every single ornament with such child like awe.  Steve was at our house in early October as I was helping him with his resume. We never saw it coming and he will always have a special place in our hearts for such a kind soul.
