Much love to all of you, and especially our Aunt Katrina. Steve was an amazing man. So sorry for your loss.
Dearest Katrina and family, Sending my love and condolences to you during this difficult time. Words are completely inadequate. May God give you strength as you navigate all that is to come. May you find peace knowing that you will see your beloved again someday and that he is now with our Savior Jesus Christ.

Steve, flew up to visit me in Seattle . We had the best time going to all the tourist places in Seattle. He insisted we go to Bruce Lee’s grave because he knew Bruce & Brandon Lee & wanted a picture of him by it. (I took that picture of him). We literally walked all over that cometary looking for that grave site. You’ld think it would be marked but it wasn’t.
It felt like he we were on a big Easter Egg hunt! Lol. Steve was probably the closest man that followed a life of Christ that I’ll ever meet! I smile when I see how excited he is to meet up with ones that have passed, but most importantly, I know how excited he is to walk & talk hand & hand with our Heavenly Father! He will be deeply missed on this Earth, know that Heaven gained a great Angel.
It saddens me to know that you have been called home to Glory. My thoughts and prayers goes to your family and friends 🙏🏽❤️
Steve and I shared a very special moment. I'm his Aunt Gloria and he always called me every Sunday and we would spend time discussing the joy he felt when he was attending his church and his pastor Waylon's timely messages to the congregation. Steve shared his love for Christ with many people and our last conversation was when he was already in the hospital but he still made his call to me that Sunday despite the pain he was in. It was such a special blessing for me to know that he loved me that much and I was able to tell him how much I loved him too.
Dear Katrina and family,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during these difficult times.
With heartfelt condolences,
Love,

This is Steve's cousin Dedee of Columbia MO. I don't remember the year but we were all together at Grandma Anna and Grandpa William's house in Keytesville and Steve wanted his hair braided so I braided his hair in cornrows. He was so appreciative, I never forgot that time because it was rare that all the grandchildren were together ❤ you all.
Steve was one of the nicest individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. He was Adam’s second father, trainer, and dear friend. I was lucky enough to be able to consider him a friend as well. He frequently joked that certain things were going to be chapters in my future books. He always laughed at the corny jokes and would look at any and all cat pictures we shared. He loved super hero movies too. One of my happiest memories is trying sushi for the first time with Steve and Adam.

My condolences to Katrina, other family members, and friends. Steve was truly a good man and will be deeply missed.
I remember watching cartoons with Steve on Saturday mornings on our black and white TV back in the Hay Homes which Delores called Brick City when he was a boy. His favorite was Wylie Coyote and the Roadrunner. We had lots of laughs. The Fristoe’s were our good neighbors. It was great to see Steve a few years ago while we were doing an art show in Tucson. Steve is at rest in heaven now with Delores and Fris. Our sincere sympathy to Ricky and Eric and Gina! God bless!
Generous, life-affirming, and big-hearted are the words that jump to my mind when I think of Steve. He always saw more in me than I could see in myself, and I thank him for that. My condolences go out to Katrina and Rick and the rest of his family. He will be missed.
Steve leaves a beautiful legacy in my heart. Planting seeds of stewardship, humility, grace, and compassion. I'm sure he planted these in others as well. I hope they take root, flourish, and spread to many throughout my lifetime for his legacy to go on always. Sending love and hugs Katrina.
For all the people my brother…

Katrina...I'm sending my deepest condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. May God bring you peace and understanding. I know he is standing with you.
Steve was more than a friend, he was a brother. He shared his family and friends with me, the first day we met on the bus taking us to the college. He was a man of his word and faith.
