Steve's obituary

Stephen "Steve" Betts. 67, passed away on Friday, March 29 at the Center for Hospice Esther's House in Elkhart, IN. Steve was born on Sept. 19, 1956, in Carroll, IA to Cleo and Kae Betts.

Steve graduated from Memorial High School in Elkhart, IN. He earned his Business Administration degree from Indiana Institute of Ft. Wayne. Steve honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He formerly worked for Carrier Corporation in Indianapolis, IN and for the IRS in Indianapolis, IN. Steve enjoyed all sports from table tennis to fast pitch softball, to pickleball. He was a beloved member of the Michiana Pickleball Club, their motto was "Best Sport Ever!"

Steve is survived by his parents Cleo and Kae Betts if Elkhart, IN; his children Scott Breitling of Glendale, AZ and Emily Breitling of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren Alexander and Ivy Breitling; and his sister Bonnie Bourn. Steve was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Ronald Dean Bourn.
