Steve and Donna Jo were much loved Kenya teammates. It is always hard to say goodbye on earth, but it will be a sweet hello in heaven.  I wanted to come to the memorial to give you a hug, Donna Jo, but wasn't able to come.  Receive one this way.

I met Steve when he was serving as a counselor for Beth Tikkun Messianic Fellowship in 2020. He was a God-send to my children and I at the most tragic time in our lives, as I became a single mother for the second time when my oldest daughter told me her step dad had been sexually assaulting her. He also brought clarity to my past, helping me process the trauma of my first husband's suicide. Since meeting Steve, talking with him in counseling sessions, listening to his teachings, and reading his book, Provisions, my life has been forever impacted for the good. His voice has become an almost daily presence in my life, reminding me to enjoy and delight in my children, to pour all that I am in to raising them well. I'm so thankful my path crossed Steve and Donna's earlier this year at Beth Tikkun's Home Fellowship Workshop. After Steve encouraged us parents and offered wise counsel in discipling  our children, he sat down beside me and said, "You know I was talking to you up there, right? You can do this!"

Simple words, yet so powerful. May it be said of all of us who knew Steve that when we pass, the last words we said to our family and friends were words of encouragement. Steve Meeks was such a bright light, now it's up to all of us to shine a little brighter in his absence.

Since he was our intern in kenya in 1979 I have loved Arap Tala!  We never got to fulfill our dream of working on a ranch together here on earth, so we’ll have to ranch together in the beyond! Fielden

Our condolences during this time of loss. May God provide comfort and peace as you grieve. And we will remember you in our prayers.
Stephen was a gentle soul who loved the Lord! I have fond memories of his short time at Shiloh and loved to hear him speak. He made a profound impact on so many! We rejoice that he is Heaven walking with the God he loved and served! Rest in peace!
My family has many memories of the Meeks family since we were all on the Eldoret team. Time is a funny thing. Doesn't seem like that long ago since Kenya days. When I heard this news I couldn't believe it! But again time is a funny thing and we never know how much time we all have. We are just travelers here waiting for our heavenly home. To the Meeks family we are praying for you so much! For now and for future days. May God give you comfort and peace and may his memories be a blessing.

What was so fun about Steve was his prayerful enthusiastic relating of dreams and goals. I always waited to hear the follow-up  story. He has indeed entered the place of his dream culmination. I will again look forward to hearing the story.  With love, Gina  B.
Our sincerest sympathy to Donna and the whole family for their loss. Steve touched 1000’s of people and introduced Christ to many! Blessed to have met him when he visited Crosstower Church in UT! Steve and Anita Patterson

Steve was very helpful with me when my Brother died at age 42 . he was a comfort for us. he came to one of our Bible study's and was very helpful. he was always interested in my hunting stories . Avery good Man

Steve, Donna and their family were among the first people I met when I moved here in the fall of 2012.  His devotion to his family, to the community, to fellow Christians was always amazing.  But what stood out most of all was his devotion to his Lord and Savior.   The last time I saw Steve was eight days before he passed away.  As he spoke of what God's love had meant to his life over the years, his face shone with joy.  And then he spoke about how he was looking forward to seeing God face to face and experiencing the full power of the Lord's love in person.   And now you are doing just that.

You will be missed by many, many people now.  But we look forward to an awesome reunion.

I met Steve & Donna Meeks many years ago when he was with the Good Soil people he had such  a kind heart and such a love for God I was a young woman going Thur a divorce with 3 young daughters lost almost everything drove a 94 blazer with no air conditioning my credit got ruined the Lord told my dad I was gonna live in a 55 year old barn falling down I got up next morning hauled 50 loads of manure out of it and God begin to send the people my dear friend Vickie Stephens was helping with the Good Soil people too she introduced me to Steve and he said we are gonna come help u and that summer here they came I was so amazed at what God can do Steve Meeks came and had almost 50 people from Good Soil and Donna came and his children we all worked together pouring concrete we hang Sheetrock upstairs 4 bedrooms we all had a bedroom we had been sleeping in my mom and dads floor people from the community came and helped brought brick block Sheetrock everyday Steve started us off with prayer and ended the day with prayer we all shared what we were thankful for at the end of the week Steve said we are all gonna form a circle and he had me and my three daughters get on the inside and he prayed the most beautiful prayer and prayed a hedge of protection around us the whole week was just unbelievable we lived in that barn/house for many years and I have thank God over and over again for putting Steve Meeks in my path he let God use him and direct his path helping so many people over the years and just had so much faith and cared for his family so deeply and loved his wife as a man of God should I praise the Lord for this whole family my prayers are with u but I know we shall see him again in glory I’m sorry this was so long but that’s what God laid on my heart I love u all

Steve’s example of dedication to the whole family was a wonderful model that surely blessed many.  Our hearts are broken for you and rejoicing with you in the hope we share in Christ.  We pray for loving and warm comfort to be poured out for you all in this season, and wisdom for the days ahead.  Love to you all

My deepest prayers for Donna and family. Steve was a true Brother in the Lord. He was a caring and generous person. He was also a great personal counselor to me when I was going through some personal issues. His wisdom was 2nd to none and I am most grateful. He will be miss.

My deepest sympathies to Steve's beloved wife, family and friends.  I'm thankful to have been acquainted with him when he spent some time in Ohio. His counsel blessed my family and his Core Story class was very healing for me personally. I'm sure that hundreds (if not thousands) of other people like me were blessed by simply crossing paths with Steve. He was a generous man, always looking for opportunities to help others. He was a good listener, and had much wisdom to share. I am sure he is missed greatly. I am just as sure that he has been welcomed by the Lord as a good and faithful servant.  Praying for the family and hoping you all find the comfort that only God can bring!
