We are going to miss you so much, every time, and I do mean every time my family needed you you were there for us. It hurts knowing that you gone, but I can help but to overjoyed know that you and home now with Lord! Rest in Power cousin, until we meet again!
Our hearts are heavy but still we thank God that Stella was such a big part of our lives. As we reflect on our years growing up, sharing our struggles and successes, and doing a few “hood rat things”, I can only thank God and pray that she is basking in His Light. I know that we have another intercessor in heaven watching over us. Junior and Danyell she gave you her all. You have everything you need to stand strong and live the life God has planned for you. You have our love and prayers forever.
Danyell and Jr. you guys are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your lost. Aunt Stella was very special and just a beautiful person inside and out! Heaven gained an angel!
I’m so thankful that the Lord allowed Stella and I to cross paths. We immediately formed a sisterly bond. Everyone that saw us together always asked if we were sisters. We had so much in common; from conversations about our family, teaching experiences, church and trips amongst other things. In March 2020, we went to Las Vegas and had so much fun and created memories that I will cherish forever. We had made plans to go back to Las Vegas in September to attend the Saints game in the Raiders new stadium. I am missing Stella now, but I know that God doesn’t make mistakes. My birthday is later this month and we would always celebrate each other’s birthday. May I end by saying, when I met Stella, I met a true friend. She was loyal, kind, caring, compassionate and honest. There was nothing that we wouldn’t do for one another. She will forever be remembered. My prayers and condolences to the family.
On a personal note, I literally met Stella in her home when she came to inspect the building progress and I was taking a look at the newest house on the block. From that day we became close friends, raised our kids together and toured many new homes. We even traveled to Dallas, dropped our teenagers off at Six Flags and enjoyed the day on the Dallas tour of homes with our friend Gwen. Our kids spent their days between our two homes. It was Stella’s idea that the kids take golf lessons and that’s what they did and learned a lifelong skill. I remember her excitement and dedication to the parties and weddings that she decorated with such attention to every detail. I will certainly miss my friend on Elmer Lane.
Yesterday The Tea Cake Book Club said a prayer for Stella and her family. She spent eight years with us and introduced us to the writings of Pamela Samuels Young who continues to be one of our favorite writers. We enjoyed her friendship and wisdom.
