Stefene Lin Alexis Costello Richards, 51, of Peoria, AZ, passed away on June 28, 2021 after a brief battle with Legionnaire's Disease. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones at the time of her passing.

Stefene was predeceased by her grandparents. She is survived by her loving husband, Chip and her children, Megan, Lexi, Ben, and McKenna. She is also survived by her parents, Don Costello (Ruth Blumenstein) and Carolyn Kuehl, as well as her sister Cindi Costello Gillette (Mitch Kessler). Stefene was always passionate about finding a cure for Type I Diabetes and supporting her son Ben, who was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes at the age of 5. She was an active member of the Phoenix T1D Parents Facebook community and was often a resource for local moms and dads of diabetic children. She was a passionate and committed mother and friend, both to her own children and anyone who crossed her path.

Services will be held at First Southern Baptist Church at Sahuaro Ranch on July 31 at 10 am. We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Stefene's memory to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), whose mission is to find a cure for Type I diabetes.
