He was a kind, thoughtful, and caring gentleman. Often he would allow me to trade my art for haircuts when I was in college. He gave authentic hugs.

Bless his heart, as I know he is with the God of love in eternal glory.

Lyle was such a great friend to me, my family, and so many.  He saw the best in people and had a heart that forgave the worst in people too.  I'm so thankful he was in my life.  I'll miss you buddy!
He was one of a kind. Easy to love and hard to not imagine being here. I’m grateful to have worked with you, Lyle. Will see you again🙏

Lyle started staying my hair at sneered Genius. It was a sad time for me and Lyle took me under his wings and was wonderful to me. I think I was his client who has followed him for the most years; 43. He was such a sweet soul who treated everyone as his friend.  He mentored many through the years and shared his talents with an eclectic group of friends and clients. He was a gourmet cook who loved hosting marvelous parties with wonderful food in beautiful surroundings. He had a great faith and I know he is in the loving  arms of God.I will always miss him and his wonderful smile.
Lyle was so influential in me becoming the stylist I am today.  A master of his craft, he did it graciously and vivaciously. He had a light about him and made everyone’s day shine a little brighter too. I will miss him so.💕
Lyle was a big part of my sobriety. A bright light. I miss him. My prayers are with you all.

I was 18 years old. I lived in Northhaven , an unanexed part of Shelby Co. I still lived at home with our Mother, Mae Ellen Mullen

I was a hellion and I look like something off of an 80s rock n roll T-shirt. Lyle invited me to go to church w him. I just thought cool I get to hang out w my brother. We attended -

Bellvue Babrist Church . I’d been to church before. Really wasn’t for me. But that night , some happened. I heard it! I was in a Slayer T shirt. And some hole ridden jeans w long hair.

I looked outta place n I was. But, I heard a message. And, a little while later. Even though I didn’t really get it! I had some consequences. And I came to believe.

Now. I wish I could report that all life was smooth sailing after that. Not so much.

But through it all, I never stop believing.

It all started wen my big brother Lyle, came to help me. Almost 40 years later he never really stopped helping me. Even wen we were at odds, like brothers will sometimes be

I love me some Lyle!
