I had mixed feelings when I heard the news of my Sis Simone's passing. I was overwhelmed in our last conversation because of personal things i had going on in my life. But I’m so happy I answered the phone to talk to her. I never knew that would be the last time we would talk.
I wish I had one last conversation with her & that i could have been more present for her. But even then, maybe it wouldn’t be enough for me to feel at peace.
I never fully processed her death. I would push down my feelings when i would think about her not being here. Sadness. Anger. Grief. Confusion. Today I’m finally acknowledging how i feel. I miss you Sis. I can’t wait to see you again in heaven 🩷 I miss you & I love you forever. I’m sorry if I wasn’t there for you as much as I could have been. Love you Sis 🤎

I remember when Simone was a little baby and toddler, in her younger years she had so much personality and loved to sing and dance. She had such a beautiful spirit.
We will see her again in Heaven!

I met your beautiful family in Hawaii and my memories begin and center on Simone with the brightest smile and a song. Simone was a friend and had such a big personality. Simone brought light, love and laughter to our home every time she & her friends visited with us in Georgia. I will miss her soft spoken voice, our conversations on guys and eating good food! Rest on my sweet Simone! Until we meet again.

Theodore Family, I am so deeply sorry for the grief that has come. Though I can offer no words to take away the pain of this loss, I want to express that it was truly my privilege to serve as Simone's instructor and class sponsor at PFA. I will never forget her kind-hearted spirit, genuine care for others, and visits to my office just to say hi. A beautiful soul and gift to the Pine Forge family. When Nov 11 comes around, I will remember Simone and that it was our special bond to call each other "birthday buddy" having the day in common.
