    * Simone was, Yes - my mother.. but was also my best friend. We sound similar. We’d finish or say the same things at the same time. She and I came with a variety of laughs yet we’d laugh the same way in unison.. It felt like she was reading my mind sometimes. I was truly vulnerable with her, so anything I shared.. she was able to understand me on a level.. I only had with her. And that’s a bond that I will always cherish.

* She was devoted to those she held in her heart. And with her warrior fire she would protect, advocate, challenge and heal her loved ones. She had intense lioness and mama bear energy. While on the inside a softie, crying over romantic films.

* Mom loved very deeply and was able to forgive just as deeply. My mother was intelligent. An engineer, but also very passionate and creative. Throughout the years she collected books, scraps of paper or mail with her poetry scribbled on them. Many were lost and never shared. She’d talk of officially becoming a Poetress, sharing her life and advocating for others, like herself, who faced medical difficulties.
