Our Condolences to the family. God’s love has embraced Sherri and will provide the family comfort during this season of lost.
I want to give my condolences to your family. I remember Shari's as the quick witted little sister of my dear friend Paris. She was a part of a family that I came to love and genuinely respect. Paris, would disapwar during freshman year to his sister of brothers house. He is very good people. Well,, all the apples did not fall from the tree. I met Sheri years later when I worked at The Ideal School of Washington. Her eyes would smile and she always looked as though she was about to smile. She was just as real, brilliant and down to Earth as her older siblings, Makini, Taiwo and Paris. However, it was clear that she was "the baby". Not because she was immature. But because she lives in the order of the family in the traditional African sense. Her mind was a literal calculator! I will never forget watching her talk with Emanuel Sikali about Mathematics one day. I am no lightweight when it comes to Math. But I was in awe of my "new little sisters' mind!" As with all if the Inmans and their children I've thought of her over the years often and warmly smiled. "What a genius!", I'd say to myself. When my cousin, Nia, called ne and told ne of her passing. I froze. I was "smacked in the face." As her transition settled in I thought of my the Inmans and how Sheri's passing would leave such an emotional whole in their lives. As the days have gone I've thought of Carlita, her daughter. My daughter was her age when my first wife passed. It has been no easy road fir Adanna-Noni. But I have been here. Carlita has the added challenge of her father having joined the ancestors. Then, I thought of the Inmans ;a family that stands out in my mind as beautiful, close, warm, capable. Carlita will be taken care of and loved. I remember her mother, Sheri. the quiet communicator; the calculator. She is an apple that fell from a great tree. It showed in how she thought before speaking. It showed in her love for teaching and children. I know that, though Carlita had a heavy road ahead, God, The Ancestors,, Saints, Way Showers, Guides Sheri and family will see her through. I know that the family needs time. I know the wonderful Inman family will weather this storm. And I know that Sheri with her dancing , smiling, always thinking eyes had been welcomed by The Ancestors. I know that it will be because The Universe is unfolding as it should... and Sheri is giving support and guidance with so many Ancestors.

I remember playing in the living room of your old house at 407 Parkway with you and your dog Shang when we were young, he was so loving and obedient, he followed you everywhere. I remembered all the good times we had as kids. All the wonderful family reunions, cookouts and get togethers we had back then, life was so simple back then. All the wonderful times we had at Mount Zion, hearing Miss Charlotte playing that beautiful pipe organ up there as we sang towards heaven. The laughs we shared with my dad Uncle Joe with his 10-cent jokes. Those were the days. Well cousin, you made it to your new home, you are now in the greatest place you can ever be, no more heartaches, no more disappointments, no more ailments, no more grief, no more sadness, and no more Trump... Everyday there is joy and peace, hallelujah. Cousin, save a seat for me, I'll be there to see you one day. I love you, please pray for all of us, your family. Love you cuz.

Sheri
Where do I begin?!
I remember playing cards with you at the library and also you helped me so much with math. You made learning fun for me when I was struggling. I’ll always remember you.
You will be truly missed. Thank you for being an awesome tutor.

Mama Sheri,
My heart aches for what feels like a loss too soon, but the Creator makes no errors. I was your student and eventually a colleague. I have so much respect for your womanhood and teaching. Every time we saw each other it was pure love.
Your presence will be missed greatly. Your impact will forever exist.
May your journey be sweet,

I remember the days of our crew hanging out on campus in South Hill. You will be missed my sista.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time. May the Lord comfort and hold your family together with His loving grace.

Praying that God wraps his loving arms around your family during this difficult time. Hold on to the memories of all of the wonderful times you shared with Ms. Sheri. Please know that Carlita has an extended family here at Maya Angelou French Immersion and we will support her in any way possible. Peace, strength and blessings to the entire family.
I am praying for the entire family. May God give you peace and comfort during this time of sorrow.
