Sheri welcoming her 20th grea…
2021, Raleigh, NC, USA
Sheri welcoming her 20th great niece into the world
I will miss my quirky, geeky, probing, lovable, always laughing, song singing, original rhyming and brilliant Aunt Sheri!

The last time I would be in her presence was at my baby shower. I never would’ve imagined that welcoming my sweet Kennedi into the world was my final goodbye to my beloved aunt. However, I’m glad we were brought together one last time for a joyous occasion.

Until our souls cross paths again - rest well auntie. Please visit my daughter in her dreams and give Pop-Pop a big hug and a kiss for me!

What a tremendous physical loss to the universe! My heartfelt condolences to all who loved her. When I think of Sheri, I think of a distant twin version of her big bro Paris. A mind like a pragmatist; scientific, number wizard and the heart, soul and creativity of an artist. Sheri has a smile that lights up the room and makes you feel welcomed and cared for. Her spirit will echo through those she touched for many, many years! I hope and pray loved ones take comfort in the joyful, funny and energizing memories she left behind. Peace and hugs! ❤️❤️
My dearest Carlita, I am truly sorry to hear about your mom. My condolence to you and your family. May God's unseen hand bring you comfort and strength. Please know that your MAFI family will always be here for you..You are in my prayers.

My heart breaks for your loss. I stand with you in prayers of consolation. I have submitted two gifts. One is for the scholarship and the other for Sheri’s daughter. Please let me know how I may support you all in the future. God’s blessings to you all.

Praying for the family. Sheri had a wonderful spirit and loved her students. She will be missed.
I loved her like a sister and…
I loved her like a sister and I am so sad that we will not grow old together. I will love you always cousin! Sheri and Yolonda (r) (cousins)
Thank you very much for the professional friendship that we shared. It was short-lived but very meaningful. The first time I met you at Surrattsville High School was in 2006. However, a year after that you left the school so we did not have the chance to really get to know each other better. Occasionally, we met and said our hello’s during systemic trainings and mathematics workshops. There was a time that I was among the participants in one of the sessions that you conducted. Truly, I am grateful that I have met you but at the same time I am saddened that you left without saying goodbye. Farewell and enjoy paradise with the angels and cherubim.
Sincerely,
Dr. Aurora B. Mendoza
Sheri, excruciating pain is what I feel writing this. I believe all God does is good but I find myself crying to the almighty, Why Sheri? Why so soon?
I will forever cherish the last 16 years of my life as you were part of it. You were an exemplary mother, an amazing teacher, a wonderful friend and much more. Everyone knew how you always answered present to lend a helping hand , how great of a problem solver you were, how caring and much more… The world will never be the same for those of us that knew you and we will never forget. Until we meet again my dear friend and sister Rest In Perfect Peace. I love you ❤️ ❤️
My heartfelt condolences to the family.

Ms. Eastman was my year 2 Math Seminar professor. She was so passionate about her job and it was so obvious that she cared for each and every one of her students. It pains me to see that she’s gone, but I think I speak for everyone when I say that she will never be forgotten. My condolences to her family. ❤️
Professor Sheri Eastman was a wonderful friend, sister, and colleague to me, and was an impactful teacher to all three of my children. She was a wonderful, joyful, and bright person who was always smiling and making jokes. She will be truly missed.
