Sherri & I have been great friends since Junior High School - We were Roommates at ECU; and when Sherri and Jeff started dating during College- it was True Love ❤️ Later, we both got married, and had kids- and Shannon & Whitney completed their family. Many years later, Shannon was the Science Teacher at Phenix, and my 2 Sons attended School there. The First year, Phenix had a Talent Show- and my youngest son Landon won 1st place in his age group, and Shannon won 1st place for the Teachers- It was a Fun night. My oldest Son, Cameron was Blessed to have Shannon as his Science teacher his last year at Phenix- That was Special. Shannon was an Extraordinary Person- in All Facets: Wife, Mother, Daughter, Granddaughter, Educator, and Friend. The Love for Her Family was Obvious in the Posts on f/b showing their Awesome Adventures, Family Times, and the Boys’ Sporting Events. I especially Pray for Matt, Gunnar, and Rhett at this most difficult time. Nobody can ever take Shannon’s place in your lives, I just pray that you Feel Her Love Surrounding You Each & Every Day. I also Pray for Sherri, Jeff, Whitney, Mary Jo, and All of the family members who are going through the Pain of Mourning Shannon’s Passing; I Pray that God Gives You His Peace & Comforts You in the Coming days 🕊️. I Know You are Also Surrounded with the Love of Family and Friends- That Will Help you in your journey- The Sentiments & Memories of how Shannon impacted so many people’s Lives- will be her Legacy. Love Lives on Forever- and we Know that Shannon Will Live Forever in Our Hearts ❤️ ❤️❤️

I will always cherish the memories I have with Shannon. Whether in marching band together in high school or sleepovers where she introduced me to SNL and the Spartan cheerleaders! Or more recently, just chatting through Facebook where she taught me about her favorite pages for shopping and finding deals. No matter how much time passed, Shannon always acted like no time had passed at all. She is by far the sweetest person and seeing her posts of Facebook showed how much love her life was full of. I know Shannon will be watching over her sweet family and continue to spread love to us all with the memories we hold.

My heart goes out to Shannon's family, husband and especially her special little boys! I am thankful that she took so many pictures of her family and life. She loved all of you so much and shared her latest pictures and stories every time we caught up with one another.
I worked with Shannon from our time at Davis until I retired last year. She was one of my favorite people in all those years. She has touched so many hearts and will continue to bring smiles to the many memories of her. I'm so proud of the fight she gave and the optimist she always carried. She will be missed.

Thinking of all of you during this difficult time. So happy to know she was so loved and cared for during her fight. As a mom, I know nothing would make her happier than to know people are reaching out to make sure her two boys are cared for. ❤️
