When I heard the news Saturday night, I was in disbelief, at first I assumed it was a prank that happens on our parts of twitter sometimes, but eventually it was confirmed, and I was heartbroken. I've talked to him, I've gamed with him, and thankfully had met this wonderful guy in real life and hung out with him. He was cheerful and energetic as can be, and was the life of the party. I'll always remember my short time with him those few days.

My condolences to Mr./Mrs. Mac, and his brother.

There are no words to describe how heart breaking this is for us all. Shalit was a man of honor who did all he could to bring joy to all who surrounded him. He would bring light to terrible issues surrounding our community, and fight for righteousness despite anyone trying to tear him down. Shalit was and forever will be a stable in the community he built with his friends and followers. Today we cry for a great loss... a leader... a brother... a son... a friend... and of course an inspiration for others to follow. His legacy will live on through those around him who echo his name, and through others that he mentored to also be great in light of his message. Together we will stand and mourn our brother, but as the days pass we will also remember what he stood for and smile remembering all the good times he has brought us. Rest in Peace Shalit, may god hold you dear in his heart and show you the light we all will see one day... God bless the friends and family of Shalit... and may we all remember how he lived..... I only knew of Shalit for about seven months but the content he created in that time was legendary and iconic. I will be praying for his family during this difficult time. They raised a caring, creative, funny, and highly intelligent individual. Everyone that came in contact with him had their life enriched (except becca, maybe).

I'm going to miss him a lot.
