I am saddened by the passing of Scott.

While on opposite sides of the country - New York and Seattle - our families were always connected through the friendship of our fathers; from college at UVM and Kappa Sig; military service at Ft. Lewis, WA; and years after. I know our fathers were waiting and happy to see you Scott.

On behalf of the Olden family may God bless you and your family.

Coach was a huge part of my childhood and a big reason why I loved lacrosse. Some of my favorite memories have him involved. He will be missed.

Scott and I became very good friends in 10th grade , and remained close through college and beyond

Scot was a brother to me and the Mclam family was my second  family

To many great memories and stories to share . Scott was  a class act in everything he did

I’ll miss his calls which always ended with a laugh

We were having dinner with Scott and Maureen at a friends house one summer night. It was a Mexican themed dinner, so Maureen brought her famous Flan for dessert. As we were eating it and enjoying the melded flavors, Scott , with his incredibly quick wit, remarked, “Maureen! This is Flan-tastic!”

We all fell on the floor laughing!! He was so incredible with his witty retorts to everything.  He will be sorely missed and always remembered fondly.

One day before the wedding an…
One day before the wedding and all smiles!

I had the opportunity to coach Scott at W& L.

He was an outstanding player and a better teammate, Scott always had the best interests of his teammates at heart . He was totally selfless and loved by his friends.

All of us who knew him will miss his smile and his positive approach to all things

For all you lax-heads... did you know that Scott was a pioneer in lacrosse?  He was the first long-stick defensive middie in the history of the sport.
