I really knew Scott when we were in elementary school. He was among my best friends back then. We reconnected on social media only in the last decade but I could still feel the same cool guy I liked so much as a kid. His fascination with antiques and discovery sparked the old friendship. I knew him as kind of quiet, kind, smart and caring. It's how I'll always think of him.

I was so saddened when I heard the news of Scott's passing. I feel so fortunate to have grown up with Scott as my best friend and to have shared so many memories with him, his family and mutual friends. We had so many great times together, starting in 3rd grade and continuing on through school, scouts, and almost every summer, hanging out in the Bricker's awesome basement. I have still not met anyone who could make me laugh until I cried, as hard or frequently as Scott could. Scott and I remained close until marriage, distance, children and life took over (goes by way too fast). I am glad to see by the photos posted here that he was blessed by his beautiful children, friends and family and so many wonderful times in his life. I pray that all that have loved Scott will keep his joy alive and pass the gifts that he gave us all, on for eternity.
