Scott's obituary
Scott Blackman, 54, of Sarasota, FL passed away unexpectedly on February 27, 2023 and in an instant left his family and friends with a profound void.
Scott was born on August 24, 1968 in Patchoque, NY. After graduating from L.D. Bell High School in Bedford, TX, Scott returned to his childhood hometown of Sarasota. There he worked as a welder, machinist and assembler at Harmar for over 30 years. Scott enjoyed kayaking, snorkeling, riding roller coasters, and taking road trips with his friends. His "happy place" was being at the beach especially in the evening while capturing magnificent photos of the sunsets. Anyone who knew Scott, knew that he was kind, loving, and the best of friends to all who loved him. He had an immense passion for his animals and the beach.
Scott is survived by his mother, Christine; his father, Bob; his step mom, Suzanne; his brother, Daniel and wife Liz; and sisters Jennifer and Jacqueline and husband Paul Krohn, as well as, one niece and five nephews. Scott’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

In Lieu of flowers, Scott’s life can be honored through donations made to The Humane Society of Sarasota County, The Sarasota Audubon Society, or The First United Methodist Church of Sarasota.
