I met Scott way back in 1977 when he and i were meer children....lol.  He and his family were involved with First Methodist Sarasota as were we.  We enjoyed socializing with the Blackmans both at church and in the community.  My last time with Scott was a christmas church package we were privileged to deliver to Scott's mom Chris.  A great memory of a great guy who loved his mom providing continuous care as Chris' health diminished.  Rev Don and Peg Roberts

Scott was truly one of my very best friends - for so many reasons. Actually, he was more like family to me. And although his light no longer shines here now, he will remain in my heart forever. I’ll never forget the fun times we’ve shared – especially all the road trips we took when Lisa would come to town. We went from St. Augustine down to Key West with many stops in between. We just had to make sure we stopped every few hours so he could eat. LOL. I loved everything about him. He was always so encouraging and positive. He was definitely a bright light in my life and this world. We went to Tuttle Elementary and grew up in Ramblewood together, even though he said - I’d never play in the lake like he did.

I always felt so comfortable with him. He really was the best friend anyone could’ve ever asked for. He’d give you the shirt off his back and was always there to lend a helping hand. Anyone who knew him, loved him. He was amazing in so many ways. Even though he worked long hours, he’d always find time for his family, friends and especially his precious dog Copper. He loved taking him to the park any chance he’d get. But as we all know, his happiest place was at the beach. Catching a sunset was one of my favorite things to do with him. He would always take the best pictures. He had such a great eye.

I miss you so much Scott. Thank you for always being there for me, even in my darkest times and for that, I will be forever grateful. Your friendship meant the world to me and I will treasure it for the rest of my life. RIP Scott. I love you with all my heart. <3

Make you rest in peace! Chris and I are thinking for you 🙏

Scott was a good neighbor and a good friend. He will surely be missed.
Scott, knew you a loooong time - all the way back to the early Elementary days with a lot of our other neighborhood and Tuttle friends. I think it would be difficult for most, if not all, to dispute just how kind and caring you were as a human being, both as a youth and all throughout your life’s journey.  You were a true friend to everyone you ever met, I suspect. It was an honor to have crossed paths, my friend. Onward!

Scott, like so many others, was 'one of the kids' at First United Methodist.  My first memory of Scott was a picnic his dad and Chris invited us to a piece of land by the water in what had to be the late 1970's or early 80's.  Peg and I had the opportunity to bring Christmas cheer to he and his mom a couple of Christmases ago.  A loving son and  a challenged mom were a beautiful example of servant Love.  We were so sorry to hear of his too early death.  Scott and his siblings are the same age as our sons; so his passing seemed to be even that more sad.  Scott, our pastoral benediction is simply "May God continue to hold you in the palm of his hand and welcome you into a well deserved eternity of rest, Love and endless beach.  Rev Don and Peg Roberts

Scotty (thats how we knew him) was such a big part of the Harmar family. He was our longest serving employee. He was always positive and helpful. He contributed in so many ways (and helped us identify times when we were doing the right thing). We were so upset when he left and was truly hoping he would be ok. We were devastated to learn he had passed. Our sincerest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.

My favorite response of his.
I always loved how much he got out and enjoyed sarasota and shared his moments and great sunset pics!!
Michael padgett and I were deeply saddened by this news but we feel he is in a much better “happiness is “place…
Rest in peace Scott
