Brian. We never met but I have heard so much about you. Sarah, another friend and I walked every morning for years with our dogs. After her beloved Susie went over the Rainbow Bridge, Sarah would come and join us as often as she could. And every February the three of us watched the Westminster dog show in our own homes, texting back and forth with our critiques of the dogs and judging. We will miss her laughter, that way she had of walking, briskly, holding her head high and sharp wit and intelligence. She loved you - had her memory close. Donna Ryan

Sarah was a kind and gentle presence in the sea of activity at Walnut Hills High School, admired by fellow teachers, staff and students. May light perpetual shine on you.
Ms. Wilkinson's AP Art History class felt like a rite of passage for me. Her confidence and passion were admirable. Whenever I experience the joy of art now, those feelings are forever intertwined with her and her amazing course. She is one of those teachers that you never forget. Condolences to all her family and friends - she has left such a positive impact on so many.

Very sad to hear the news, I remember when she got the assignment to teach the Art History class- the previous teacher refused to share his materials and she had to start from scratch, that didn't faze her, she impressed me with her intellectual abilities and her "grit"- she will be missed...
My heartfelt condolences. Sarah was a beautiful person, inside and out, and a wonderful teacher. May her memory be a blessing.
Words are failing me, to have such a precious life end too early, I am sad.
Brian, I am so sorry that you have lost her. I am sending hugs.
I do know, that I am a better person and teacher because Sarah was my friend and colleague. She taught me the importance of many things and at the same time never condemned me, only raised me up.
I will miss you dear friend.
Shocking and terrible loss! Evidently, from this avalanche of acclaim, Sarah's radiance will light the world for generations~ But a heartbreak for Brian Sweeney and her entire family~ Prayers and sympathy, from Patricia G. Bard
I am so grateful to have known Ms. Wilkinson and had her as a teacher. My love for art history started in her AP Art History class. She was so passionate about art history, and that passion was transferred to so many of her students. I remember going to the Picasso Museum in Spain and writing her a postcard to tell her all about my experience there. She really treasured and honored us as her students. I send my prayers and my condolences to your family. Ms. Wilkinson will be missed. 💜
How many students took Ms. Wilkinson's AP Art History Class and bought Gardner's Art Through the Ages because your passion for the subject didn't end after that class did? There's something incredibly special about a teacher who can evoke a curiosity and appreciation in her students that sticks with them long beyond high school classrooms, and I feel honored to have gotten to learn from one of the best. Thank you ❤️
I am so saddened by this news. I will always be grateful for the impact Sarah had on my daughter when she was at Walnut. I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah's family several times. Witnessing her devotion to her family inspired me. It was always a pleasure to spend that time with them. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope those photos bring some comfort.
Ms. Wilkinson was an incredible teacher. Her class was challenging, thought-provoking, moving, and joyful. She exposed a generation of students to a new way of seeing. I'm so thankful to have been her student. My deepest sympathy.
Oh, I am so, so sorry to hear this. Sarah was the teacher that, as a parent, you so hope your kid gets. I am going to take a deep breath before passing this news along to Gabe: Sarah was one of his favorite teachers at Walnut, who supported and inspired him during one of the hardest times in his life. I am so sorry for your loss. With our deepest sympathies, Christine, Rich, Gabe, and Mimi Montefiore
To my friend Brian Sweeney, my heart is so sadden. I received a text message from another Walnut friend early this morning... not something you wanna wake up to hear! As you know I worked with Ms Sarah and you for so many years at Walnut. I loved her sweet spirit since the first day she stepped in my office. I recall how young she looked and mistaken her for a student! I am so glad my daughter was able to become part of her classroom. I can relate to what the student Ellen stated....she would always send my daughter postcards in the mail just to say.... how she was doing in the classroom! Of course many years had passed since then, but Sarah would always ask about my daughter. And yes Ms Sarah baked goodies from her heart.... those delicious brownies always made my day! She would stop by the office, and would say, Julie here is a small batch just for you! :) She had such kind genuine words during the passing of my siblings , that was Sarah, kindhearted .... I will end this message by saying ....Sarah seemed to always be in weddings before she met Brian Sweeney, she told me one day I will catch that bouquet, Julie! Well, my precious Sarah, you didn’t need to try catch any bouquet, Brian was already in the works. Brian, losing someone dear to you can be so challenging, but keep the faith and shine on with your precious Sarah kept close to your heart! Much love and prayers to your family and you always.

Thank you for teaching us about art and that passion behind it that makes life so beautiful. I am so grateful to have been taught by you. I may have had you as a teacher 8 years ago, but when I was at the Louvre just last summer your words and teachings led me through the entire museum. Thank you <3
Ms. Wilkinson’s impact is (present tense) profound. Saying that my life is overwhelmed by her teaching sounds like an exaggeration, but every day I go to work or visit a museum or debate something art-related, I’m reminded of her compassion and joy in the classroom. She was the first to nurture my lifelong love for art - and the responsibility that comes with that passion. So much so, that I've made my career in the arts. I’m forever grateful for her influence.
Sarah, you will be sorely missed. I feel privileged to have been part of " the dream team" during my 1st year at Walnut. My sincerest sympathy & deepest condolences to your family &loved ones.
Fondly,
Chris Lynn
Sarah was my dear, dear friend of the heart--I miss her every day and always.

I am so devastated and sorry to hear of Sarah's passing. My oldest had her for AP Art History, and as a fellow teacher at Walnut, I am still amazed at how Sarah found the time to write numerous post cards to all of her students and their parents - each and everyone personalized to the point you knew she really cared about your child. Kaitlyn loved her and the class so much she ended up majoring in Art History and English. She still talks about how much she loved Sarah and the class and was soooo happy when I told her Brian and Sarah were dating as they were "two of my favorite teachers and people!" My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Brian.

My oldest son, JP, was thrilled to have Sarah as his Art History teacher. I cannot even begin to mention how her inspiration, expectations and encouragement (along with Brian Sweeney and others at Walnut) shaped him into a thoughtful, reflective and introspective young man. Her hallmark postcards were always a treat and one of the first included a comment on JP's loquaciousness. Not that he was talkative, but loquacious. I just had to laugh at her diction, her quick analysis and how much he was like myself at times. I think of that postcard and her impact on JP often, even as we share conversations today. She will be missed.
Ms. Wilkinson was a wonderful teacher. Her support and belief in my ability and intelligence made me feel supported and included during an incredibly difficult time in my life. I think about her often and the impact she had on my career choice and design process. She is dearly missed. I hope the Wilkinson and Sweeney families' hearts are filled with warm memories.
I am so sorry to hear this news. Sarah was an outstanding teacher and had the warmest heart, My deepest sympathy to Brian and Sarah's family. May her soul live on forever in the students she reached through her abilities and the people with whom she came in contact with will also be forever blessed by her time in their life.
