Sarah Saldi (Skoog) 1985-2023 - An Obituary

Sarah Saldi, 37, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away from a lengthy battle with depression on

Thursday, May 4th, 2023.

Sarah Ann Skoog was born in Denison, Iowa on July 9th,1985 to parents Eric and Terri Skoog.

As a child she attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and School. Sarah was a member of

the graduating Class of 2003 from Denison Community High School where she excelled

academically as well as in activities including track & field, cross country, swimming, choir, and

many others.

Sarah attended Creighton University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She

later attended University of Nebraska Medical Center to earn her Master of Science in Nursing

and further developed her career as a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner.

In 2005, she met Jamie Saldi and the couple married in October of 2009. They created a

beautiful family and life together enjoying regular vacations around the world. They brought two

beautiful children into the world – Nola (6) and Asher (3) – and cherished time spent together

with extended family and many close friends.

Sarah’s passion for people and caring for them and their loved ones really showed in her work

as a Nurse Practitioner while employed at CHI Health in Omaha. Sarah’s credo is best

summarized by this quote: "People may not remember exactly what you did, or what you

said, but they will always remember how you made them feel." - Maya Angelou Sarah

was a loving wife, caring mother, thoughtful daughter and sister. She will always be

remembered for being a selfless giver of her time and energy. Sarah’s loving and caring impact

on her family, friends, patients, coworkers, neighbors, and greater community will be felt for

many years to come.

She is survived by her husband, James Saldi, and their two young children, Nola and Asher.

She is also survived by her parents, Eric and Terri Skoog of Denison, Iowa; maternal

grandfather Robert Snyder of Carroll, Iowa; paternal grandmother Patricia Skoog of Prior Lake,

Minnesota; sister Andrea Skoog and family of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and by her brother,

Christopher Skoog and family of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by her in laws Tony and

Deb Saldi of Omaha, Nebraska; brother-in-law Mike Saldi of Miami, Florida; brother and sisterin-

law Nick and Katie Saldi and family. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles,

cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sarah Saldi (Skoog) memorial fund.
