Im so sorry to hear this news. It’s just so sad. I was talking to Sara only two weeks ago. Our lives intersected in similar ways...Silicon Valley tech, Oregon cannabis, gender equity, and not the least of which was our shared experience in the less common pronounciation of our name..."Hi, I'm Sara..." "that's okay..."

Sara was so generous with giving her time, knowledge, wisdom. I wish we could have had more time together. I felt lucky to have had her even briefly in my circle, and will find ways to pay forward her generosity. Condolences and strength to Jonathan, Sara's family, and to those who were closest to her. Very sad. πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œ
So terribly sorry about this. Sara will be sorely missed by so many here in Portland and beyond. A true kind soul, fearless advocate for others, and pioneer.

I am so sadden to hear of Sara’s passing. She was and is a bright light of passion, inspiration, brilliance, kindness, courage and love. I remember meeting Sara for the first time at a women’s meetup and she was full of passion and excitement about her new HIFI Farms. She then gave me a joint. I don’t know why I kept the packaging but I did! I was a part of her first master class cohort for Equity Capital. She was brilliant and fearless in her support of women. We shared stories about breast cancer and owning our bodies. So grateful for her presence in my life. ❀️

I only just met Sara on March 29th. We were connected via one of her students as like-minded residents of our small town of Vernonia. I was so charmed by her over coffee around a fire pit, and was looking forward to getting to know her and Jon at the farm when she came back from her trip. This is devastating news, it’s clear she was a force of nature and will be missed very much by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Sara LOVED crab and knew how to throw the best crab feast ever. It was a beautiful day with friends around the table sipping champagne and stuffing ourselves.

Sara, we were like Mutt and Jeff physically - it made me laugh to try to talk with you without getting a crick in my neck. I will not believe this easily.

Sara,
I still remembering flying to Portland and sharing your birthday after a few years had passed without seeing each other. We picked up right where we left off. You were always so happy to share anything and everything in your life. You are truly a special person, and I will never forget your constant perseverance to live your best life and to help all along the way. I love you, my friend. Denise & Scott
I’m so happy we met. Your work in helping women founders was profoundly impactful. Thank you so much, Sara Batterby! My QUEEN.
