Sandy quickly went downhill after the pancreatic cancer spread to her liver, which was discovered in July 2024. We take comfort in being assured by doctors that her final circumstances were not due to her fall on vacation or an infection. Cancerous tumors can cause sepsis, which was new info for us. We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the amazing ICU and Palliative Care team at Riverside, who cared for mom and us while we stayed for 8 days with her at Riverside 🥰

The world lost a bright light when Sandra Alyson Troutman passed away on September 2, 2024 after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Sandy was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on February 20, 1948.

Sandy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Bob, as well as her beloved sons Chuck and Chris and her parents Charles and Margaret Pitsch. She is survived by her sister Roberta, daughter Stacie Osborne (Matt), stepdaughter …
