Since we can't all get together in-person currently, we hope that this site can be a place for us to come together to remember Sam, share memories and support each other.

Sam was my youngest brother. We were very close growing up in the Philippines. He was born when I was about 7 years old and the first thing that struck me when Mom brought him home from the hospital was his dark beautiful eyes and long lashes. He was a good baby as far as I can remember and when my mom returned to work after her maternity leave, I was the doting sister eager to be part of his care.

Growing up, Sam was my right hand in keeping our family home in good order. He diligently waxed our hardwood floors every Saturday and then we both shared the task of shining them with coconut husks. He also covered for me when I got into trouble with our parents and vice versa. I would literally go between my dad or mom when he was about to get a spanking.
