You were wonderful to me and I realize your sacrifices now. My love for you and Dick is everlasting. I appreciate everything you and Dick did for me. You were one of a kind. Your sweetness has been and will be missed.
Sally was my dearest friend. We shared great trips together, she was so much fun to travel with. We often went to the farm to tend the animals. She would bounce on the 4 wheeler and off she would go across the pasture. She loved the farm and shared many of her experiences of roaming the woods all day long. I remember the last time we went to the farm was to tend to Richard's dogs. They were in big pens and as we were going into one of the pens, one of the dogs darted out and ran off. We spent hours trying to get that fool dog to get back in the pen. It was hot and Sally's health was not the best at that time, but she would not give up. We finally got that dog back in the pen....what a relief. Sally had great determination and was stubborn as they come, she usually accomplished what she started out to do. She had great love for animals, she loved her dear little Skeeter! I will miss my dear friend, but I know she is happy and healthy now! You left me some great memories Sally . . . I love you!
A story my mom’s younger sister Inez just told me. “We didn’t have toys growing up in the country. We just played outside and just made do with what we had. And since Sally was the oldest, she really didn’t have a social life growing up, we just all played together. But once she got a car and could drive, she made sure Martha and I had a social life!” That is just one more sweet story that is nice to hear about our mom. Thanks Aunt Inez. (Please feel free to share your photos and stories here, I will try to add them to Facebook as well)
