Sally was someone you could talk to.  She was there to brighten your day with a smile. I will miss you Sally.

One year I went up to spend the weekend.  She had gotten Dawn a fur coat of some kind that Dawn didn't like so we were returning it. While at the store Sally was asking what I had and long story short I ended up with a beautiful gray sweater. I believe I thanked Dawn for making her mad and to let me know when she did it again Ha! Sally's  day was topped off when the clerk thought we were sisters. She grinned so big and told him yes we were.

Sally's Easy Microwave Fudge

3c chocolate chips 

14oz can sweetened condensed milk

1/4c margarine or butter

Place all ingredients in a large bowl. Microwave at 50% power until chips are melted (3 to 5 minutes), stirring once or twice. Pour into a well-greased 8x8 baking dish. Refrigerate until set.

Gram’s Pumpkin Pie

Recipe from Sally's mother Alice DeMers, to Sally DeMers circa 1960

1 can pumpkin 

2 eggs

1/2c white sugar; or less to taste

1/2c brown sugar

Salt

1.5t cinnamon

1/2t ginger

3T light molasses 

1/4t cloves

1 can (12.5oz?) evaporated milk 

Stuff in a pie shell, cook at 350 for 1:15. Filling may still be bubbling at the end, but if you insert a knife it comes out clean.
