How you can help
We are heartbroken to share that our sweet Sable has passed away. As many of you know, she lived with severe cerebral palsy, which brought both challenges and joy to our family. She taught us so much about resilience, happiness, and finding music in every moment.
Because of her condition, we were never able to secure life insurance for her. Mom and Millie have already borrowed against their own policies and are looking into other options to cover expenses. On top of that, during her hospitalization, the state unexpectedly canceled her Medicaid coverage. Mom is fighting to have it reinstated retroactively, but if that isn’t approved, the medical bills may also fall on our parents.
This fundraiser is to help with the remainder of Sable’s funeral expenses so that we can honor her life the way she deserves. Any contribution — big or small — will help ease this burden on our family during an incredibly difficult time.

Sable Janine Elston, 35 of Ellettsville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital leaving behind a legacy of joy, love, and light that will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
Born on Thursday, April 19th, 1990, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Sable lived her life with a heart full of love and kindness. Though she faced challenges with her disabilities, she never let them define her spirit. …
