I had the pleasure of working with Ryan for several years at Fieldglass. She was always a ray of sunshine in our day, a positive attitude who made everyone smile. My deepest sympathies to her family.

I met Ryan 9 years ago at the University of Arizona through my girlfriend Alycia. I have never met anyone so genuinely kind-hearted and so full of happiness as Ryan. We have seen Ryan many times since our UofA days and recently visited her in Chicago. She planned every aspect of our trip to be memorable for us; from the top notch restaurants to the fun activities. However, the best part of visiting Ryan was simply just being around her and spending time with her because she was always happy and would always have the biggest smile on her face. Ryan's happiness just glowed and even radiated onto people around her and truly made a huge impact on the lives of the people she was around. Ryan was a beacon of joy and happiness that I will always remember and carry with me everyday. I will truly miss her.

Ryan was my first friend after I moved to Chicago. She was always so kind and sweet when we worked together, but she went above and beyond just a coworker when she picked me up from the airport, watched my cat for me, and took my mother and I out to dinner when she was visiting me in the city. She made me feel so welcomed in a new place, and was always willing to try a new show or restaurant or just have a chill girls’ night. Ryan had a remarkable way of being a genuine friend to everyone and take time for them. I’m so grateful to have had Ryan as a friend, honored to know such a wonderful woman, and am heartbroken by her loss. Tom, Mirna, and Courtney, you have all been in my prayers and will continue to be 💕

Mirna, Thomas, Sandy y Courtney,

Sinceramente,

La familia Cornejo-Flores

I am devastated to hear of Ryan’s passing. I will forever remember the evening she told us about her and Tom’s “rim to rim” hike of the Grand Canyon. She had us in stitches.

Please know Ryan, and the entire family, are in my prayers. I’m sure she in Heaven securely wrapped th the loving arms of Our Lord.

My heartfelt condolences,
Eileen Miera

There are no words that can be said to make this less tragic. But, as I remember Ryan, I am reminded of just how lucky I am to have known her.

Ryan personified what it means to be kind. It was always evident her caring demeanor was because of her strong relationship with her family. I remember even in high school, she spoke highly of her parents and sister (something that doesn’t usually come out of a 17-year-old.)

That paired with her brightness made everyone want to be around her. Whether it was working on The Advocate together at Hinsdale Central, going on college visits, singing our hearts out at Lollapalooza, or having a night on the town when we finally turned 21 (we are both Virgos!), we always had a great time together.

I am sad that we lost touch over the years, but there’s no doubt in my mind that we would have reconnected. Because Ryan was definitely the type of person to welcome old friends back in. I hope to live my life with this same thoughtfulness and crave adventure like Ryan did. I hope to keep her memory alive, whether it’s thinking about her every time I see a VW bug or hear a great song she would have loved.

McAuliffe family, please know I am thinking about you during this difficult time. I hope you are able to find peace through old photos and shared memories.

I had the pleasure and honor to work with Ryan at Fieldglass. She was new to our Marketing team. I trained her to assist with our business development and customer success initiatives. Ryan was sweet, eager to learn, smart and always friendly. It was impossible to be in a sour mood around her. Her smile and kindness were infectious, and hers was the perfect voice and personality to have as someone’s first contact with Fieldglass. We’ve kept in touch and cheered each other on. It’s been wonderful seeing her so happy and successful these past few years. There are no words to express the sadness and hole her absence leaves in this world. An unimaginable tragedy. I’ll always remember her laugh, huge smile and big, kind, bright eyes. Thoughts and prayers to the wonderful McAuliffe family. Rest In Peace dear Ryan. ❤️
