Ryan's obituary
Ryan D. Martin, 43, of Plainville, MA passed away suddenly on March 30, 2024. He was the devoted husband of Sarah (Bowen) Martin. Born in Syracuse, NY, Ryan was the son of David and Maralee (Charon) Martin of Shallotte, NC. Ryan has resided in Plainville, MA with his family, for the past twelve years.
Ryan was the loving father of Gregory, William, and Abigail Martin. He was the brother of Dustin Martin and his wife Courtney, and Casey Martin and his wife Ashley. He was the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Besides his loving family, Ryan will be missed by his adoring pup, Ollie.
Ryan was a 1999 graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School in New York. He completed his undergraduate degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he participated in Naval ROTC. Ryan was commissioned as an Ensign by his father, CAPT David Martin (ret) in 2003. He served over six years on active duty. Ryan's greatest joy was his family. Between coaching his boys' basketball teams and cheering Abigail at her dance competitions, you could always find him courtside or poolside with his family. His family and friends will always carry his memory in their hearts.
