Ruby Louise Durham Sparks, 68, of Gaffney, SC. Passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2004, at her residence.

A native of Gaffney, she was the wife of James H. Sparks and daughter of the late Dever William and Mary Catherine Parker Durham. She was a former sales clerk, a volunteer at Upstate Carolina Medical Center for many years, and a member of Covenant Christian Center. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Rachel Marie Sparks of Gaffney; three sons, James Tony Sparks and Michael David Sparks, both of Gaffney, and Timothy William Sparks of Sylva, N.C.; five sisters, Lula Mae Peeler, Ponice Willard and Nancy Porter, all of Gaffney, Betty Bradley of Pacolet, and Pauline Ramsey of Blacksburg; three brothers, Fred Durham of Myrtle Beach,

Roy Durham of Blacksburg, and Marvin Durham of Gaffney; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
