It’s taken a while and I still can’t come to grips with this loss. My cuz/brother has left this place and on to the next. We just spoke a few days prior and really didn’t see this one coming. Although we were miles apart he always remained in my heart and prayers. I wish he didn’t have to leave so soon, but who am I to question The Most High’s will, I’m gonna always miss you Roy (like you are reading this) and I pray you are at peace and resting.

Loving brother and cuz

Roy Roy Roy!!

My handsome intelligent, strong, fearless, generous, and funny little cousin we always called lil Roy. He was a version of his Gentle Giant father big Roy, who had the heart and console of his mother Janita his mother I remember when I was living in Chicago I was in seventh grade, and I had two of the slickest, smartest, ambitious little cousins and yes, I’m talking about lil Roy and of course Anthony you saw one you saw the other one they was like two peas in the pots I remember walking to the corner store from their grandparents house at 1864 E. 81st St. they was so cool walking down the street like they was older. Oh geez, on the block instead of me holding their hands they were guarding me to the store instead of me looking out for them. They was looking out for me. These two little guys were my buddies. I might’ve never kept in contact as I should have. Roy was always in my heart when I last seen him in 1989 at my grandfather‘s funeral room he was all his mother talked about teasing and saying how when she was at work she would always take out the newspaper and say let me see what or how many touchdown our yards my son made. She was so proud of her baby boy and who wouldn’t be if you knew exactly who it was. We came from a proud family, great grandparents, grandparents, mothers and fathers cousins uncles aunties family was family, always stuck by each other as my grandfather departed this world and open up the gates to heaven at that moment, his great great grandchild was coming into the world and there I was reunited with my two little OG’s little Roy and Tony once again Tony he will always be there with you when you move left he’ll be at your right Janita. You should be a proud mother and I know now he’s with big Roy laughing and looking down on us all, I love you Roy. Remember me because I will always remember you. You’re big cousin Tina as the family would say.
