Rowdie Edwin Sinderud, 40, of Santa Ysabel, California passed away peacefully on January 18th, 2025. Beloved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and a friend to so many. Known for his quick wit, loyalty, stubbornness and endearing humor. He will be remembered as a smiling face and bright light to the community. He lived up to his name, Rowdie.

Born on August 1st, 1984, in Adkins, Texas, Rowdie grew up as the youngest (and self-proclaimed Favorite) son to Ron Sinderud and Donna Curnow, brother to Samantha (Sinderud) Boyd, Reid Sinderud and Michael Garcia. Beloved husband to Ashley (Feigel) Sinderud, Father to 2 daughters Reann and Macie. Rowdie worked alongside his father as assistant manager of Canta Rana Ranch in Santa Ysabel. His true passion was raising American Quarter Horses and Black Angus Cattle with the love of his life Ashley. He enjoyed spending his free time checking on his cows, shooting squirrels in Mesa Grande which he referred as “God’s Country”, riding with his girls and surprising his friends with an infamous Rowdie ‘pop in’ which would guarantee you never get anything done but drink beer. He loved raising and breaking his own horses, and helping surrounding ranches brand and work calves. Rowdie’s legacy is ultimately his family. His teachings, his values and spirit will live on in his wife and girls. His absence is deeply felt, but his larger-than-life personality will continue to shine bright in the memories and the hearts who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rowdie would not want a formal funeral service but rather a giant celebration of life. Please join us to reflect and celebrate this remarkable character on March 16th at 10:00 a.m. in Mesa Grande. The family hopes that all those who were blessed to have known Rowdie will be able to attend to celebrate him and his life.
