It was Christmas Day and I got a phone call from my daughter with a rushed tone in her voice saying that Rowdie and her need me to come to Ron and Sherry's and to hurry they had something to tell me... So I heard and got to Ron and Sherry's and Ashley met me outside and Rowdie grabbed Ashleys hand and showed me a beautiful engagement ring!!! ❣️I cried ( I always cry) So happy for them!! ( This meant I had a chance at some grandbabies)!!! Rowdie proceeded to tell me the story that a few weeks before he had asked Ashley's dad Matthew for her hand in marriage and Mathew's response was what if she says No! Lol all joking aside Matthew was thrilled he thought of rowdie as a son. Rowdy then proceeded to tell me that he had put a small box in the Christmas tree and on Christmas Eve after returning from Grandma Kathy's house and her infamous white elephant game he motioned Ashley to the Christmas tree he asked her what was in it and she said but I don't see anything and then he pointed out the small box she proceeded to open it and saw The Ring Rowdy was down on one knee and he asked my daughter to marry him! She said yes!! And wedding plans proceeded just like the fairy tale that the two of them lived!!

My condolences to the family of Rowdy. Rowdy was extended family to me as my brother-in-law is Reid Sinderud, who is married to my sister Becky. I’ve known Rowdy since I was 11 years old since he was a little guy. 33 years. We got along great and had similar outlooks on life. We had the best time when the Murphy family got together with the Sinderuds. He was special, and man, he made me laugh. He was such a fun person and, yes, had an infectious smile—excellent times when we synced up. I will miss him dearly, and I’m sending prayers to all the families who have experienced this loss. Love you, RIP buddy.
