Rose's obituary
Rose Marie Williams was born to Mae Frances and JT Williams, Sr. on October 11, 1961. From that union Rose had four brothers and one sister; Larry, JT, Jr., Charles, Cynthia, and Gerald Williams. She was raised with strong family values that shaped the person she became and was preceded in death by her beloved parents and two older brothers Larry and JT, Jr..
As the first girl following three boys, Rose was especially cherished by her father, who made no secret of his affection. This loving favoritism added to the family’s colorful dynamics and became one of the many stories fondly remembered today. Her mother often echoed the words, “That’s okay, because your daddy has to go to work.” Her father’s fondness for her became a familiar family theme, creating a lively household that Rose carried with her in spirit.
Rose attended Venice High School and there is where she discovered her athletic abilities. Prior to graduating in June 1979 she was involved in swimming, gymnastics, and sewing. Later in life Rose also discovered her talent as a seamstress and created her own clothing label. Sewing brought her great joy in addition to knitting and crocheting.
In March 1979, Rose made a meaningful and life-defining dedication to Jehovah. From that moment on, her faith guided every part of her life. She dearly loved full-time service and found profound happiness in sharing her beliefs with others. So much so, it moved her to serve in Oklahoma in 1996, and learn other languages such as Tagalog and West African Pigeon.
The following year, Rose married Thomas J. Sifton on January 11, 1997 becoming Rose Marie Williams-Sifton. This was the beginning of a new chapter in her life. Their marriage reflected her enduring commitment to love, loyalty, and spiritual values.
Rose will be remembered for her determined spirit, unwavering faith, and the joy she found in serving Jehovah and others. Her life was a testimony of devotion, perseverance, and hope. She leaves behind her husband, Tom, brothers, Charles, Gerald and sister Cynthia, twelve nieces, two nephews, five great nieces, seven great nephews, and a host of family and friends with cherished memories in the hearts of all who knew her. She also shared a deeply treasured bond with her brother LeGrant, who will miss her dearly.
Though she would be deeply missed by all who loved her, Rose would want all of her loved ones to take comfort in the Bible's promise of a future resurrection on earth and the hope she held so dear. Rose Marie Williams-Sifton, passed away on January 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of deep faith, loving service, and heartfelt devotion to Jehovah.
