My description on the back of this photo just reads "Summer Recital 1981". Was this back before DTW existed? Or had use of the stage / auditorium below?

My first performance as a junior company member- I loved this costume SO MUCH and every other remarkably beautiful costume that we were so lucky to wear!

Many days later and I’m still at a loss for words. All I want is one more talk with Rose 🌹.
Instead I spent time today searching for these photos from a newspaper of old. It’s been so many years since I’d read this. Made me laugh. Made me cry. Anne and I went to Westchester Ballet Center together. Her fire and ice! We were the beginning of what proved to be such a special place for so many of you. I think now of what it must have been like for Rose to start the studio. Fear and doubt maybe. A new baby. Well Rose-Marie you did it. And you did it so well. I’m forever grateful. I love you more than words can express. You were always there for me. You mentored me through so much more than just dance.
I listened. I danced. Life has taken me far away. 30 years of marriage. 2 kids. Countless moves. Countless Navy deployments. The regret returns. Just one more conversation. “Come hell or high water you get yourself in the studio everyday!” I listened. I heard you. I’m still listening. I still hear you. The show must go on!
All my Love, Your calculating ice ballerina, Margo ❤️💔❤️💔🌹🌹
