Rose Ann's obituary

Rose Ann Sousa, 55, of Trinity, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on October 10. 2021.

She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on January 20, 1966 to Patricia M. (Homen) Kungulus and Gilbert Sousa. Ann was educated in Lowell Public schools and received her Associate’s Degree from Middlesex Community College. She spent her childhood in Lowell and most of her adult life in New Hampshire. She moved to Trinity, Florida in 2020 and enjoyed riding her motorcycle and swimming year-round.

Ann was predeceased by her life partner, Holly Brown, in 2017. Her and Holly shared 12 beautiful years together serving the shamanic community through rituals and healing work. Ann was a Shamanic Practitioner, Initiated Elder, Fire Walk Instructor, Energy Healer, and business owner of Healing the Global Village and The Global Firewalk Institute. She recently completed Level 5 of a master yoga certification through the Somananda Tantra School. Ann also had 30+ years in addiction recovery and was very active in the recovery community– guiding others through the process and offering her support.

Anyone who knew Ann was touched by her unconditional love, presence, and ability to connect with anyone. Ann enjoyed international travel and in recent years spent time in India, Africa, Brazil, Estonia, and Costa Rica, to name a few.

She is survived by her nephew, Anthony Kungulus, Jr., his partner Francesca Ferrara, and her beloved grandson Patrick Kungulus. She is also survived by her nieces, Angela Bellaro and her husband Anthony, and children Jack and Hudson of Tampa, FL; Constantina Kungulus and her children Adryana and Marcos Rizzo of Haverhill, MA; Jessica Kungulus and her husband Allan Ndichu and stepdaughter Leilani Kiarie, of Lowell, MA. She is also survived by her brother, AJ Kungulus, of Lowell, MA, as well as many beloved extended family members and friends who were like family.

Besides Holly, Ann was predeceased by her mother, Patricia (Homen) Kungulus, and sister, Cynthia Kungulus, both of Lowell.
