Missing Ron so much since he passed. So often I want to pick up the phone and talk to him and ask his advice. He was so gracious to ALWAYS lift me up in prayer and reassure me in my decision making as a leader. There will never be another Ron.

I just heard about Mr. Whipple’s death. I’m so sorry to hear that! Much love and fond memories of life on the mountain, when the girls were little. Big hugs to each of you, Jeannie, Cindy and Mrs Whipple!

I remember Ron (& MaryJean) working first at the AACS EP campus in the trailer, before he got an actual office at the then Upper School Bestgate campus. He was a man of integrity & fairness, & he was such an important part of developing & building AACS into a fine Christian school. I’m sending prayers of comfort for MaryJean & the girls & all the family. Blessings to you all from the Singleton family (Nancy & Mike)

I didn't have Mr. Whipple as a teacher, but I had plenty of opportunities to watch him and get to know him.
Mr. Whipple was a stickler for rules. As a man of integrity, he didn't believe in "grey" areas or bending the rules. Things were right or wrong. But he, also, loved us students and was always ready to impart godly wisdom to us or use a situation as a Biblical learning opportunity.
I learned by watching Mr. Whipple that the standards he embraced for his impressionable, teenaged charges were even more passionately embraced for himself. His decisions, his actions...everything he did was based on "With eternity's values in view, LORD."
Two words sum up Mr. Whipple in my mind: consistency and faithfulness.
Oh, and one more thing: He was always in a hurry. He didn't "dilly-dally" around anywhere. I asked him one time why he hurried everywhere he went. He didn't miss a beat when he responded, "Because I don't know how much time I have here on earth, and I want to do everything I can for Jesus with the precious time I have."
And that's what I learned from Mr. Whipple...the importance of a faithful, consistent life that uses its time wisely.
