Ronald Kenneth Pruitt, 76, of Vidalia, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020.

Ronald was born on July 26th, 1943 to T.E. Pruitt & Missouri Pruitt. After graduating from Montgomery County High School, he went on to study at Brewton-Parker College.

In his role as Director and Superintendent of Transportation, he worked with Piggly Wiggly Southern, Dennis Truckline, Mitchell Construction, and Williams Brothers Trucking.

On December 23, 1963, Ronald married Margaret Pearl Jackson, and they recently celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary.

Ronald was a God-fearing man, determined to provide his family with the guidance they would need to be successful. Ronald’s words were profound, and his deeds were admirable. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, and he honored the Lord, daily. He was selective with sharing his wisdom and those fortunate to have experienced his knowledge are truly wiser for it. Ronald is predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his children, Rhonda Jean Pruitt (Herin), Kristy Lynn Pruitt, and Ronald Jason Pruitt along with Sabrina Jackson Jarriel; and his two grandchildren, Mary Claire and Margaret Catherine (Maggie) Herin.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m.until Noon.

Ronald will be interred on the family land.

The family requests that donations in lieu of flowers be made to Meadows Regional Cancer Center, 1 Meadows Parkway, Vidalia, GA 30474 or the Community Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 2277, Vidalia, GA 30475.
