BURIAL SERVICE:

361 Main St, Alleghany, CA, at the family’s cabin across the street from the post office
Closed Casket Viewing: Begins at 10am
Burial: Will start the trek up the hill at 1pm.

TYPE/PRINT/WRITE DOWN THE DIRECTIONS TO ALLEGHANY. THERE MAY BE NO CELL SERVICE ON THE WAY OR THERE.

Ron’s body will be buried in a family burial site on private property in Alleghany, CA, in the afternoon on Friday, February 28th.

There will be a closed casket viewing in the morning at the family cabin in central Alleghany. There will be light snacks and beverages at the cabin.

The burial will be in the afternoon on the family property. It is a difficult 5-10 minute drive up mining roads that can only be trekked with higher clearance 4WD TRUCKS. At the top of the hill, it is level, and there is plenty of parking space at the burial site. If you do not have a 4WD truck, connect with someone you know to get a ride to the site.

At the burial site, there will be a bonfire for warmth and haybales to sit on. There might be beverages and light snacks; however, it would be wise to bring your own. Bring your own chair for the service, if you wish, although it might get stuck in the mud.

It may be COLD and MUDDY. Please wear warm, layered clothing, mud boots and bring an umbrella, just in case.

MEMORIAL SERVICE AND POTLUCK RECEPTION:

Ron and Pam’s Grass Valley Fellowship will be hosting a Memorial Service and Potluck Reception from Noon through the evening on Saturday March 1st in a private commercial building. There will be plenty of parking and lots of space inside for all who wish to attend.

Mark and Kimberly Olson will be coordinating the service and reception.

If you would like to participate/contribute in the service with a eulogy, music, reading, or other, please contact Kimberly. We anticipate continuing the sharing throughout the day and evening, not only during the service; so we would love to hear from all who want to contribute, and we will include everyone’s gift at some point during the day.

Potluck Meal Plans: Please contact Kimberly with what you want to bring. Although Pam would think it’s hilarious (and not the first time), we would prefer not to have 30 potato salads and nothing else!

There will be some tables and chairs, but bring your own chair, if you can. Please let Kimberly know if you can bring a table (and tablecloth) in the morning, as well.
