My heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Franklin, Craig, Darin, Kurt, Rachel, and all the Franklin family. I knew Mr. Franklin as the father of my great friend, Craig, whom I met in college. 

The moment I met Mr. Franklin I knew I had a wise friend and advocate with a great sense of humor. I enjoyed many conversations with him, and I always appreciated his respectful way of offering advice, again, with a great sense of humor. 

Over the years, I was always pleased when I had the opportunity to catch up with Mr. Franklin. He and Mrs. Franklin had a wonderful marriage, and they were quite a team and a great example for me as a young man, who eventually became a married guy myself!  

I was sad to hear of his health struggles which I know he faced with great dignity.  I consider it a great privilege to have known Mr. Franklin, and to have enjoyed times with his family where he always made me feel very welcome. I will miss him dearly.
