Rodney lit up every room he walked in. He never failed to make me smile and laugh, and even though I was never particularly close friends with Rodney, he'd always say hi and talk and joke with me every single day of sixth grade. I will miss his smile, his voice, his laugh, and continue to feel his unforgettable presence. I will forever cherish him and those moments we must call memories. I am sending my love, prayers, and condolences to his family.

I remember the first time Rodeny and I hung out, it was the best day ever. We had went to a haunted house and it was freezing cold. We just talked and laughed and we didn’t have a care in the world. Everything about that night was so much fun. Once we actually got in the haunted house we screamed like never before. That was the start of a never ending friendship. I miss my bestfriend so so much. He could light up a room with just a smile. His laugh was infectious, and he loved everyone so much. He had such a special heart that i’ve never seen before. He was always the life of the party and everyone loved to be around him. I miss you Rodney and I love you so much. I wish we could’ve went to FAMU together like we wanted but it’s alright. God knows what he’s doing and I must trust in him. Sleep well ❤️.

I remember Rodney from countless Paideia run practices and track meets; he was an incredible athlete, friend, and student. He always made everyone laugh at run practice and track meets and I distinctly remember that, on the rare occasions that Rodney wasn't at practice that day, everyone would miss him. I know that I'll never forget him.
Chantee,
Rodney was such a character, always with a big smile and a hearty laugh. It was always a pleasure to have him drop by and hang out with Kennedy. We are so heart-broken for his loss, and cannot even begin to experience your pain. Our hearts go out to you and your family during this unimaginable time. Our prayers are with you...

Chantee I cannot fathom this loss. This heartache. What a dear person you are and how this sweet boy looks so much like is awesome momma! I wish you comfort from family and friends. I am a good listener if you ever need an outside old time ear. Love you friend. As I type these words I wish you could see me. My heart hurts for you so much.
I remember in 5th grade Rodney, Felix, and I sat at the same table in art class and we would make up dumb song parodies. It was so much fun and Rodney alway came up with the funniest lines.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I had the pleasure of knowing during his time at Paideia. His friends and I appreciated his sense of humor and bright smile.
Rodney was such a funny, kindhearted individual who brightened your day no matter what. I remember playing tag at cross country meets before races and laughing on the beltline together while we ate popsicles during Friday practices. His energetic and positive presence made everyone around him happier. Sending all my love and condolences to his family.
I was very lucky to meet Rodney while attending school with him at Paideia. His smile and laugh were infectious, and he always knew how to make you laugh. He will forever be in all of our hearts.
I am so lucky to have known Rodney. I will never forget Michigan, and how happy he made our team feel throughout the entire trip. He was an extremely talented musician who never failed to make anyone smile. I will never forget the memories that I was lucky enough to have made with him. Sending my condolences and prayers to his family
Our family is heartbroken. We loved Rodney and will miss his 1000 watt smile, fun-loving attitude, kindness, and his music. What a gift that we were able to know him. From our family to yours, we send our deepest condolences and prayers.
Rodney was one of the brightest, most caring individuals I have ever met. He was the type of person to make marks on people's hearts even in the briefest interactions. During the few months I spent running cross country with him he continuously put smiles on the faces of all team members even on the worst days. All of my love and prayers are with him and his family.
I am so heartbroken to know about Rodney’s passing Dr. Earl. I know how much you loved and adored him and I cannot imagine what you are feeling. But I send you my love and prayers and hope you get through this terrible time with the love and comfort from friends and family.
Rodney was a wonderful person. He was simply wonderful. He lit up the room and he was always so friendly. Rodney was in Patrick and Annie’s sixth grade year with me and orchestra as well for the next year. He was devoted to music and I always admired him for that. I always considered him a friend even though we weren’t super close. He was a friend to everyone, and we all appreciated him for that kindness and acceptance that he radiated. He will be missed deeply.

“With deep grief there is deep love”
My black fuzzy penguin slippers that keep my feet so warm... he gave them to me for Christmas a couple of years ago...they remind me of him and how thoughtful he was...I just sent him a message about those slippers two weeks ago.
Also the blanket he made for my mom, his great aunt Evelyn , who sleeps with it every night...
Actually we have reminders of Rodney all over the house.

I never had a dull moment with Rodney in the several years we were friends. He was an amazing person to be around and always full of joy and energy. He made track 100 times better and always made me look forward to coming. I will miss him dearly and sending all the love and prayers to his family. ❤️
I am heartbroken to hear that Rodney has passed away. I feel so lucky to have gotten to know him during our time in junior high. His laughter was so contagious and brought me so much joy. He had such a beautiful soul and I am pained that our memories had to come to an end. Rodney was so loved and will always have a very special place in my heart.
With our sincere and heart felt sympathy to Chantee and your family. Praying that God will keep you uplifted at this difficult time.

He was just the nicest boy, so kind and friendly. What a great heart with a smile to light up the room. Many good memories for my son running Cross-Country and Track with him. We send all our love to the family. X
