Rodney lit up every room he walked in. He never failed to make me smile and laugh, and even though I was never particularly close friends with Rodney, he'd always say hi and talk and joke with me every single day of sixth grade. I will miss his smile, his voice, his laugh, and continue to feel his unforgettable presence. I will forever cherish him and those moments we must call memories. I am sending my love, prayers, and condolences to his family.

I remember the first time Rodeny and I hung out, it was the best day ever. We had went to a haunted house and it was freezing cold. We just talked and laughed and we didn’t have a care in the world. Everything about that night was so much fun. Once we actually got in the haunted house we screamed like never before. That was the start of a never ending friendship. I miss my bestfriend so so much. He could light up a room with just a smile. His laugh was infectious, and he loved everyone so much. He had such a special heart that i’ve never seen before. He was always the life of the party and everyone loved to be around him. I miss you Rodney and I love you so much. I wish we could’ve went to FAMU together like we wanted but it’s alright. God knows what he’s doing and I must trust in him. Sleep well ❤️.

My first memory of Rodney was him playing for our church choir at Mt. Zion AME in Kennesaw. We were in awe of his talent and maturity. His smile literally lit up the entire sanctuary. It was on that first Sunday that he played for us that you begged me to get his number for you. It was the funniest thing to see the two of you scared to look at one another. Who would have thought that within a few months of that first meeting you guys would be best friends, hanging out together, talking on the phone all day and part of the night while you played Fortnite, sang, danced, laughed and shared. Every night I would come in your room and say goodnight Carli, I love you. Then Rodney would say, “Tell Tam-Tam that I said goodnight, I love you.” My response would always be the same, “Goodnight baby, I love you too.” Rodney, you were an honorary member of our family and your presence is greatly missed. “Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.” Goodnight Rodney. We love you! Praying mightily for God’s supernatural strength, peace and comfort for the family and friends of this special gift that we were allowed to have grace our presence, if even for a short while. 🙏🏽💔

I remember Rodney from countless Paideia run practices and track meets; he was an incredible athlete, friend, and student. He always made everyone laugh at run practice and track meets and I distinctly remember that, on the rare occasions that Rodney wasn't at practice that day, everyone would miss him. Rodney was a wonderful person. He was simply wonderful. He lit up the room and he was always so friendly. Rodney was in Patrick and Annie’s sixth grade year with me and orchestra as well for the next year. He was devoted to music and I always admired him for that. I always considered him a friend even though we weren’t super close. He was a friend to everyone, and we all appreciated him for that kindness and acceptance that he radiated. He will be missed deeply.

My black fuzzy penguin slippers that keep my feet so warm... he gave them to me for Christmas a couple of years ago...they remind me of him and how thoughtful he was...I just sent him a message about those slippers two weeks ago.
Also the blanket he made for my mom, his great aunt Evelyn , who sleeps with it every night...
Actually we have reminders of Rodney all over the house.
