Robert August Wemm, affectionately known as “Bo” or “Bob” passed away on October 26th, 2023 in Westminster, CO following a 10 month struggle to recover from a stroke suffered in January of 2023.

Bo spent his childhood in Akron OH with his mother Emily (2008) and his brothers Ken, Raymond and Dennis. He graduated St Vincent St Mary’s High School in 1968. He worked for the US Postal Service from 1970 until his retirement in 2005. His professional endeavors provided a wide range of travel and unique experiences, and he influenced many of the lives of his co-workers as a mentor and a friend. He completed his Bachelor’s degree from Averett University and continued at the same university to receive his MBA.

Following his retirement, he avidly pursued his passions of walking in the woods and on the beach with his dog Harley, covering miles together every day. He also enjoyed playing golf and baseball in the Roy Hobbs baseball tournament until 2021.

Bo is survived by his daughters Kristin and Megan and his grand daughter Madeline. There will be a Memorial mass at St Paul’s Catholic Church in Akron on June 1st at 11:00 AM followed by a memorial celebration at the Cleveland Guardians baseball game at 4:00 PM.
