Bo and college teammates — with Bo

Dear Kristin, Megan, and Madeline,

A couple days ago, I was reflecting on the past, as one tends to do as one gets older, and thought about a friend I had at St. Matthew school, Bob Wemm. I decided to try to find Bob with a web search, and was saddened to see he has passed away in 2023! I want to extend my deepest condolences to you all of you on his passing. I have a feeling his memories and spirit lift you up and give you smiles!  Keep in mind we were in about fourth or fifth grade at the time—Bob came running up to me on the playground at recess to show me some cartoons s in Mad Magazine. We laughed so hard! So I credit young Bob with introducing me to satire! I never forgot his jovial sense of humor and infectious laugh. I didn’t know where he moved to, so never saw him after that even though it turns out he went to high school across town at St. V. Warmest regards to you all! I just wanted to pass along that story. I met Bo at Walton Rocks beach, Port St. Lucie while he was walking Harley & I was walking with my 3 dogs.  We quickly became great beach buddy friends and I so enjoyed his company on our walks.   I was at a Walton Rocks today (5/31/24) and kind thoughts of him kept popping up in my mind.  I will always treasure those memories of wonderful days with such a great guy.

I am very sorry about the loss of my good friend, co-worker, and mentor.   It was always fun for me to work with him, and also learn from him on various USPS IT nationwide projects.  Everything Bo worked on was successfully implemented on target and under budget.

Also, I am sure all of our former coworkers are as grateful as I am that we were able to know Bo.  He will be sorely missed.

I extend my sincere condolences to the Wemm family.

Bo loved to talk, play baseball, and tell stories… just as much as he loved to keep active and share a glass of wine or cold beer after a “good” day.

I  loved how he  loved - experiencing life.    I’m glad he was part of my life.  I’m glad my daughters knew him as well.

Bo was quite a man. He was easy to be with, and genuinely cared for his extended family. Sports were his life. When our son Alex was playing football in the Little Pioneers he braved nasty weather and West Virginia back roads to watch. He was outgoing but was also an excellent listener. He worked hard and played hard and lived well.

Girls, you will have more good memories as time goes by. The funny ones will always be there.

Bo was a fun interesting guy.   He tried to do all he could to live a good life.

He was a great brother and brother in law.
