Dr. Urie was my family therapist beginning in 1978 until I was 16 in 1985. My mother and I had a tumultuous relationship and he made my childhood feel a lot less lonely. He came to my mom’s 70th birthday party in 2001 and I ran into him a few years later when I was in grad school. He is a lot of the reason that I decided to be a therapist as well as why I didn’t end up being a complete mess. He told me then that he was glad I was in the field and that he felt I would be a credit to the profession. I can’t begin to say how much that meant to me. 

My life is so much better for him having been in it. Thank you to Christine and his kids for sharing a part of him with me. I’m sad to find out he’s no longer in the world. 

Christine,I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing.I think back over all of the years of knowing him with fond memories both professionally and through the Breakfast Club.

Just know that he is in a much better place now.Having been where you are now ,after losing Sharlea,time will your ease your pain but you will always have beautiful memories.

Bob Urie was a wonderful guy. We spent a lot of time over the years at NKC Breakfast Club talking . He spent a lot of time with people with problems. Just like I did with my Divorce clients. When we talked about the stress we both had, we kept each other up on the road so we could go back and deal with the "crazy people" You miss him and so do I and the 100 guys at Breakfast Club.
