I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Cole, but he was a friend and coworker of my son, Colin Landry. As a mother, I cannot fathom such a loss. I will make a donation to MADD in his honor.

Had the pleasure of meeting the entire family when Masa coached Youth Football. Cole was in high school and helped coach these boys. His love for the sport, his excitement to pass the sport on to the little guys, and his smile and laughter were something not only my son looked forward to, but I did as well! As team mom, Cole and I would stand on the side lines and joke and laugh, yell at the game, and then joke and laugh some more! Cole bring Kai's older brother, my son looked up to him and hung with the family often. He always came home with funny stories about "Kai's older brother." As years went on, youth football became a past but we still ran into Cole, kept in touch on social media, and the amount of people I knew who knew Cole grew. When his name was brought up, someone always said, "Oh My Gosh... I love Cole!" My son (now 20) told me him and Cole spoke frequently over their love of shoes, even the morning of his passing! Cole, your smile, laugh, and all around joy for life will be missed but the memories will live on! Hugs to all!! ❤️

I first met Cole when his stepdad Masa, a coworker and good friend, invited me to Cole’s USMC basic training graduation at MCRD in San Diego. Being the consummate father, Masa always gushed about the successes of his children and when it came to Cole, he was extremely proud of this milestone in his son’s life. It was special for me too, as I was also in Marine aviation as a crew chief (the CH-46 helicopter that I worked on was replaced by the OV-22 Osprey that Cole worked on, so in a different era, Cole and I would have worked on the same flightline). I will always consider it a privilege to have been invited to participate in the family’s joy and pride of that intimately special day, as I shared a meal together and we all listened to Cole regale us with his experiences navigating the challenges of Marine Corps Recruit Training. Lisa & I are deeply saddened to hear of Cole’s budding life being so abruptly shortened. We are praying earnestly for the Lord’s mercy and comfort upon Masa, Elisha and this beautiful family right now. Rest in peace, Cole – Semper Fidelis!
